Double room, 4m x 3m, back of the house
House is on a relatively quiet pretty street in chill De Beauvoir Town near the great pubs and delis, and only 5 mins walk to Dalston Junction station and nightlife.
2 x bathrooms, kitchen/living room. Decent sized garden with palm tree - it could do with some love to get it summer bbq season ready so bonus if youre into a lil gardening!
Rent is currently £765, the maximum it will increase is 3% per year. Deposit is 5 weeks rent, house isn't furnished by the landlord, room will be unfurnished.
Looking for a professional-ish non-cokehead over 29-35, we are all 30-32. Probs more a house for pres than a house for afters.
Unfortunately not enough space for a couple (there are minimum spatial standards for couples in an hmo and I don't want to be part of ignoring em and further lowering london rental standards).
You would be living with a tech researcher, a post-doc biologist and a human rights lawyer.
It will either be the ground floor room or first floor room, they are both the same dimensions, same price and both at the back of the house. Existing flatmates might change rooms.
Bills are roughly £120pm. Its not well insulated but we try to balance comfort and keeping bills low. The landlord has a proper maintenance team, so when there's something urgent its gets fixed quite promptly. We have had a cleaner last year, and will probably get a new one this year, either every 2-3 weeks. Bonus if you recycle. The housing crisis is awful, and none of us should be economically stuck in houseshares, but hopefully we can make the best out of a less great situation and all communicate, compromise, make the most of living in a great area etc.
Please tell us as much as possible about what you are looking for in a houseshare, and also what you are *not* looking for. This really helps us find someone who mutually fits.
Please also include your mobile number and your age. The landlord does referencing, so you'd need to show the landlord (not us) that you have the right to live in the UK and proof that you can afford the rent (it sounds so harsh I'm sorry!).
Might do some quick virtual viewings then will shedule in times for people to come over, see the room and meet the current housemates IRL. Hopefully thats the most mutually convenient way.
Please add a profile pic, its a bit awk doing viewings when you don't know what the person coming over looks like.
There has been a lot of building work over the last two years but that is fiiinally over with the opening of the new Asian community centre that backs onto the garden.
Tenants get 50% off co-working in the De Beauvoir Block.
There are two cats that live here, I don't think we could have additional pets in the house. Please include 'January', it helps us know who has read all of the advert.
xoxo
