Hello! My partner and I are looking for a friendly housemate to share our modern 4 bedroom detached house in Denmark Hill, Camberwell SE5. This is a desirable rental that would suit a working professional for a short or long-term rental. Please note the advertised rent is for a single person. We are not looking to share with a couple at this time. For short term lets, please note the rent would be £2,000 per month with a minimum of one month. The rent includes all bills and a weekly cleaning service.

Our property is a stylish retreat we built ourselves 14 years ago. It includes a Japanese-style garden and outdoor hot tub. We currently share it with Gemma, our wonderful housemate from Edinburgh, and Harry who is moving out.

Because the house is tucked behind an existing terrace of Victorian properties, it's extremely quiet. despite being in Zone 2 and only 7 minutes walk from the Denmark Hill and East Dulwich stations. From there it's only a 10-14 minute journey to London Bridge, Blackfriars or Victoria stations. There also frequent and fast bus service to Oval, Elephant and Castle, Waterloo and Aldgate.

Our neighbourhood is really special. Camberwell Grove is a leafy enclave of stunning Georgian properties with plenty of parks and leisure facilities with a huge Sainsburys supermaket right around the corner, plus a Pret a Manger and M&S food store. You're also minutes away from the exciting foodie and clubbing paradise of hipster Peckham and its posher cousin, Lordship Lane in East Dulwich. Where else will you find two shops that sell only cheese and London's cheapest multilplex to watch a first-run film for only £5.99?

Your double bedroom comes fully furnished with a a large desk, a super comfy king size bed, sliding glass doors with blackout curtains, and direct access to the garden (and hot tub). There's generous wardrobe storage with double chests of drawers on either side of the bed and built in closets. There's a Smart TV with a free Netflix account, dimmable lighting and underfloor heating. If you smoke, we ask that you do that on the deck outside.

Your private en suite features a dual-spray shower and premium sanitaryware. There's loads of storage for toiletries. The rent includes all bills and a weekly cleaning service.

Our house is large. More than 160 m2. We spend a lot of our time upstairs, so chances are you won't even know we are home. Gemma's bedroom and en suite is on the opposite side of the ground floor with the open plan lounge and kitchen areas in between. So it's almost like having your own studio flat.

The house features all modern conveniences and the kitchen is fully equipped. There's an integrated fridge and separate freezer with ice maker, a top-of-the-line oven, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, dishwasher, Kitchenaid stand mixer (great for making cakes!) Insinkerator waste disposal system, instant hot water tap and a washing machine and separate clothes dryer.

The underfloor heating feels amazing, especially on those cold days with individual controls for all rooms. The lounge and kitchen are equipped with Sonos ceiling speakers and a Spotify account for listening to music and podcasts. There's a working fireplace which is wonderful during the winter and creates a cozy atmosphere in the lounge.

Outside there's a BBQ and outdoor seating to relax by the bamboo or under the mature trees and marvel at the antics of our resident squirrel family and cat visitors. The hot tub has 40 jets and an incredbily relacing lounger seat -- perfect for melting away stress.

There is a secure covered porch area behind the entrance gate for bike storage if you cycle to work.

We're a friendly, easy-going, mature gay couple. Been together 23 years. But you don't need to be LGBT to live here. We've had wonderful house shares with straight men and women of all ages. Happy to provide references from our previous house mates. I'm a property developer and project manager. Dimitri, my partner works in education. Gemma designs interiors for luxury hotels. We do most our entertaining on weekends-- but once in a while we may invite friends over for dinner during the week. You'd be welcome to join us. Or invite your own friend (s) to do the same.

London can be a lonely, brutal place, so we're happy to be sociable or not. We totally understand the need to be left alone and we respect your privacy. We value the friendships we've made with our former housemates over the years and look forward to sharing our home with you.

Please contact us to view. Hope to here from you! Dennis
