Hey there! Thanks for considering our room in our lovely home I'll make it as direct as possible:
The room & the house
- Please see the video to view the room
- The house has 3 bathrooms, 3 floors, lovely new kitchen connected to the living room, 5 bedrooms, large garage, storage space, large balcony, front patio
- The room is furnished: it comes with a double bed (very comfy) and two wardrobes
- The rest of the house is furnished
T&Cs
- You would be signing a contract for a year with the rest of the tennants in the house
- The room is open to singles
- We share the bills that amount to around £150 each a month
- An affordability check and background referencing will be conducted by the estate agents
- We currently live in the house and one housemate is moving out so we're looking for someone to replace him on the contract so the agency already knows us, so the process of signing you on shouldn't be too complicated
Transport links
- 10/15 mins walk to Stratford: Elizabeth, Central, Jubilee, National Rail, DLR, Overground, Bus terminal inclusing National Express etc.
- 10 min walk to Hackney Wick overground station
Location & General Area
- The house is located in the lovely, calm, residential area next to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
- Victoria Park is very close, as is the river lea promanade and the hackney wick marshes
- Westfield, bars and restaurants in the area are also very close
About us (the housemates)
- We are a group of friends from latin american and european backgrounds. We speak spanish and english fluently as well as a bit of italian and portuguese depending on who you're talking to :)
- We like to hang out, cook, party, exercise, have a spontaneous coffee or pint
- We're super chill and laid ack but also very tidy and mindful of common areas. We have a cleaning rota which you'd have to be on board with
- We work/study/have interests in research, music, web design, film, dance, tech, climbing, cycling, twerking/perreo, cheeky pints, the sunshine, intentionality
- We're mainly a queer household so we ask that you're mindful of that
- We're also a mainly veggie household but if you eat meat that's all good as well
- We support the rights of the palestinian people
About you (the new housemate)
- We hope you fit into our household comfortably and that we can all get along and communicate what we need and how we're feeling
- We're looking for a professional to occupy the room as we need to meet the affordability of the lease so we'll probably ask for your salary quite early on
- We're looking for someone who is nice, somewhat self-aware, and respectful. No pressure to be best friends, although it would be lovely to develop a friendship or some sort of closeness where we can all live in harmony and at peace.
Next Steps
- We'd love to see a little bio about you so we can evaluate the compatibility in terms of lifestyle and profile. If we think everything looks good, we'd invite you over so you can see the house and meet us and make sure this is also the right choice for you. We're moving quite quickly because the date is getting closer and closer, so if you can't make it in person, we can also have a video call if needed.
