About us
Two friends, a teacher and a product manager, sharing varied interests (dance parties, sci-fi, food), love living together but also having our own lives, friends and like to have a tidy, relaxing environment to call home that we can relax in and cocoon from the world.
One of us works from home most of the time in a office mezzanine, but there's a desk in the room and dining table for someone needing wfh space.
- Our previous delightful housemates have made it onto the property ladder, hence this room is availible very quickly! -
We have a large, friendly big dog part-time, who is living his senior years and enjoys neck scratches, walks and lying around the garden.
About the place
A really unique standalone house set back from the road with it's own driveway and back garden. Light-filled kitchen/living room including a dishwasher and washing machine. It is quiet, beautiful and has lots of space.
Bills aren't included in the rent and are usually around £160/month each.
About you
Someone chill who doesn't mind the occasional house party/friendly gathering and or costumed club night, but also respects shared spaces and quiet hours during the week.
We are independent but enjoy each others company and appreciate people that are friendly, open minded, caring and self sufficient. (If you are funny that is also helpful)
This house is a dream for summer garden hangouts and bbqs, snug winter evenings (it's well insulated) and we think it's pretty god damn special. As such, we are hoping to keep the lease when it is up later in the year, so if you are considering a place to call home longer term and like it, that would be a big bonus. (everyone that has ever lived here has loved it)
Our ideal housemate is likely in their 30's, likes and invest in nice times/things and people, and enjoys a wine/beer/social fun in balance with wanting to live in a home, not a party house.
The bedroom is furnished, but if you have lounge furniture that would be a bonus. There is loads of under bed pull our drawer storage, space for a small extra dresser is you want it, and a wardrobe and small desk/chair in the room. Floor-to-ceiling window and door leading out to a small patio and the garden. Large Bathroom (shower and tub) shared with one other housemate.
Must love dogs.
