WE ARE PLANNING TO HOLD VIEWINGS ON THE EVENING OF 25/3/2026 and 01/04/2026 - message or whatsapp if interested
Hello!
I'm moving out of a lovely spacious room in a flatshare in Elephant & Castle in Southwark. We're looking for someone friendly, easy to get on with, who's a good communicator, tidy and respectful - which is very much the vibe of the current housemates.
I'm moving into a new place on 20 April, so would ideally like to move by then at the latest, but I can be flexible re move-in dates. If you're interested in seeing the place and meeting the flat mates, please drop me a message and we'll arrange something.
The room is perfect for a young professional - working from home is fine, but we're ideally looking for someone who won't be working from home all the time. Currently we all work partly from the office and partly from home.
We're all friendly with each other, like to chat and catch up regularly around the house when we bump into each other, and occasionally hang out together, but we mainly do our own thing. Someone looking for similar would be perfect. The flat mates are non smokers and we have no pets.
The current flat mates are early 20s and early 30s - ideally we’re looking for a similar age range. The flat has always been mixed gender and male would be preferable, but we’re open to hear from anyone.
The room has a good amount of space and storage, with an internal wardrobe and enough room to fit a desk and a few other bits. It came with a chest of drawers, dresser and bed.
The flat has a separate kitchen with a full-sized fridge freezer, a washer dryer, and plenty of storage space. There's a large living room with a TV, dining table, sofa and arm chair. There is a small balcony (which, full disclosure, isn't amazing as it's quite shady and looks out onto the road- it currently stores my bikes which will go when I do).
The location is great, around 5 mins walk from Elephant and Castle Tube and Train stations, well connected by bus, less than 5 mins walk from a big Sainsbury supermarket, and 2 minutes away from a Tesco Express. It's walking distance from Borough Market, Bermondsey Street, etc for bars and restaurants. It's just over the road from Elephant Park which is full of restaurants and has a market at the weekend. It's a few mins walk from several gyms and a yoga studio.
I've lived in this flat for about 18 months and have absolutely loved it - if I weren't moving in with my girlfriend I'd have been happy to stay on.
Bills aren't included - we split them 3 ways and they normally work out around £130 a month each incl council tax (band B), internet, gas, water and electricity. We also split cleaning products and some communal kitchen stuff like olive oil, salt etc.
Our landlords use a property management service who're really responsive and typically deal with issues very quickly.
I've tried to be pretty comprehensive, but if you need anything more give me a shout.
