2x rooms for couples - 2 floor Terrace house

We are two boys looking for housemates in a couple for our lovely 4 bed terrace house in the Finsbury Park area, available from 1st April. We welcome all gender identities. Avaialble is a double room, and a single room that can be used as a spare room or as a study.

Double room:
Our house is situated on a closed street far from main streets and our neighbours are mostly families, so it’s generally pretty quiet. The double room is north facing with the sun coming in the evenings, overlooking lots of lovely greenery. It also faces the overground train route, which is fairly ambient. It comes furnished with a bed and wardrobe, and we have a huge walk-in attic with ladder access that makes it easy to get in and out of for any storage needs. Any furniture you don't want/need we can store.

Single Room:
This single room is south facing, so it gets a lot of natural light, especially in the mornings. It's currently unfurnished but can request a bed from the landlord if you want it as a spare room for guests, or it can be used as a room for anything you like, studying, chilling, workspace etc. The room comes with a large three tiered cupboard just outside of it that is yours to do as you like.

The house:
We are lucky to have a lot of communal space for eating, chilling, studying etc. The lounge is open access with the kitchen, and we have a separate dining area for dinners and board games. There are also two bathrooms - upstairs with a bath/shower, and a shower wet room downstairs. Amenities also include a big fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and additional gas grill. The garden is a good size and really thriving; its a great place to drink your morning coffee and spot some squirrels, and maybe pick some pears/apples/plums/figs/berries.

We’re looking for people to live here who are considerate, and will take care of the house. The vibe of the house is very chilled, we aim to make it a pleasant and creative place to live in. We encourage people to be proactive when it comes to things like cleaning and decor, such as plants, wall art in the shared areas etc. We want to make it feel like an inviting, proper home. Generally we like to do our own thing, and respect each other's privacy. On occasion we like to have dinner parties and film nights.

We have a private landlord who is very attentive and friendly, and is quick to respond with any maintenance issues or break downs around the house.

Our street is a closed street, meaning there's no car traffic diverted through it. Our neighbours are also mostly families and are particularly quiet. We're 2 minutes from the nearest corner shop, and are 10 minutes walk from Sainsbury's / TK Maxx / Homebase etc. We are a 15 walk away from Seven Sisters and Manor House stations, and 10 minutes walk from Haringey Green Lanes overground station. There's some decent bars and pubs nearby like New River Studios and The Finsbury.

Bills average to around £100-120 per month with a water bill every 6 months that comes to around £120-140 per person depending on usage. We will require a deposit of one month’s rent up front. We can also apply for a council tax discount if any new tenants are students. We are in council tax band E.

We welcome pets but sadly cannot accept dogs, sorry about that. Cats especially are welcome!

About us...

Oscar is a 32yo computer science student and barista who likes to fumble on his guitar, drink coffee late in the day, bring an unhealthy amount of pastries home from work and listen to science podcasts, among an infinite amount of other stuff.

Rob is 39, works for a charity and studies sound engineering, and is a music producer. He enjoys running, playing saxophone, reading memoirs and nerding out to films.
