Double room in modern & spacious 4-bed flat

The available room

Hi folks!

We will have a room available in our modern and spacious flat near Finsbury Park from roughly mid May, as our long-term flatmate Charles is sadly leaving London. Exact move in date can be discussed.

About the flat:
The flat is in a Victorian terraced house on a quiet street just around the corner from Clissold Park and Woodberry Wetlands, with Finsbury Park also close by. Finsbury Park station is about a 10 minute walk, and Manor House station is about a 5 minute walk. There are plenty of shops & supermarkets around, and the fancy boutiques of Stoke Newington are just a 20 min walk away.

The flat is modern with a large open-plan living room/kitchen and also loads of outside space - we have both a terrace and a (concrete) garden.

You'd be moving in with:
- Marloes (she/her, 30, the Netherlands).
Works at an independent art-house cinema, so very into film, but also all other forms of snobby culture; museums, opera/ballet, theater, classical music. Loves to cook vegetarian/vegan meals, and will whip up delicious cakes or cardamom buns every so often.

- Alessandro (he/him, 31, Malta).
Works as an Architect between London and Malta. He makes a great blue cheese dip, loves to play bass, and will tell you about sailing around the Mediterranean. He also has Deliveroo premium.

- Issy (she her, 27, UK)
Northerner in London and always up for a drink at the pub or sharing a bottle of wine. Works in fashion and can offer good discounts. Loves yoga classes or a relaxing swim after a long day

We're looking for a respectful and considerate flatmate, who is proactive about keeping the house pleasant to live in. We all work varying schedules, so generally during weekday nights the house is pretty chill, usually with someone around to watch a film/show. On the weekends we're often out and about, but we also have friends over for dinner occasionally. And you might be invited to tag along for a free film or for a heavily discounted play/concert/ballet performance (benefits of living with a Dutch deal-finder). We’re a fairly social house and we all get on, but have our own lives and do our own thing as well.

About the room:
The room comes fully furnished with a bed/wardrobes/shelves, with the option to purchase Charles' desk as well. It has a bright window looking out into our lovely terrace. As the WiFi signal in the room isn't always the most stable or strong, the flat might not be suitable for those working remotely, as we like to keep the living room a shared space rather than an office, meaning we can't guarantee this will always be a quiet space for taking calls etc.

The boring bits:
Rent is £738 per calendar month (bills not included, about £95 per month). We also have a wonderful weekly cleaner who we take turns paying (works out to about £30 each per month).

Move in possible from mid May or even a bit earlier if preferred.

Your name will be on the contract which you will sign when you move in. We are only interested in people looking for a long term place to live.

We require a month's rent and bills up front to hold the room, no deposit required.

About you:
We're looking for a considerate housemate, who cleans up after themselves and will respect the house we all love to live in and call our home! We're open to any (or neither!) gender, but would prefer someone roughly between the ages of 25-35 to fit in with the current housemates.

It would be great to find someone who we can get on with, who wants to join for movie nights or barbecues in the summer, but also has their own things going on.
