Lovely double room in Greenwich flat

We have a double room going in our very lovely Greenwich flat! We are looking for someone who can start the contract from 01/04/2024.

VIEWING DATES: Tuesday 05/04, Monday 11/04, Tuesday 12/04 from 6pm

About the flat...

The flat is really big, there is a large hallway and living room with table/chairs and a sofa area to chill out in. We have a big kitchen with lots of amenities, - washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher, which also has a balcony with a little breakfast seating area. There is a shared bathroom with a massive bath with feet and shower, and a separate toilet room. The room going is bright and sunny with a big window, double bed, chest of drawers, wardrobe, and storage cupboard, and it's a decent size room. We also have use of a large communal garden. The flat is non smoking.

The kitchen is currently undergoing a refit, so we not look like the photo for much longer! We are getting fitted cupboards and more storage space put in.

About the area...

The flat is situated in-between Greenwich and Lewisham - it's a 10 minute walk to Greenwich station, and a 15 minute walk to Lewisham the other way, so amazing for transport. There are regular fast trains, which take about 10 minutes to London Bridge, and there is the DLR from both Lewisham and Greenwich stations.

We are a stones throw from beautiful Greenwich park, it's about a 5 minute walk away, and you can also walk to Blackheath village in 15 minutes too!

About the bills..

The rent is paid directly to the landlady on the 1st of each month, and the bills, including the broadband, we sort between ourselves. The energy/gas bill works on a fixed monthly rate with the aim to average out the fluctuating charges over the summer and winter months. The fixed rate often changes every six months depending on usage. Over the past six months, we had been paying £505 per month, so £126.25 each, but it has recently come down to around £220 per month, so around £50. I think because of the cost of gas /electric it has been very changeable over the past few years. Council tax is around £50 per month, and all in, including water, wifi and tv licence, bills come to between £100-£200 per month.
We all sort out a couple of bills each and transfer the money to each other, and it works really well.

About the contract...

The contract is a 6 month rolling contract, meaning it is technically for six months but ideally we would like to find someone who would want to re-sign. It is a joint contract between all of us, but we each pay the rent to the landlady directly. If you need to leave in the middle of the contract, you can sign over to someone else at the start of the next month.
References will be required from the land lady before signing the contract.

About the flat mates...

Our flat mate Max is moving back to Germany so we are looking to replace him! There will be 3 of us staying, Lucy, Caroline, and Brad. Lucy is a psychotherapist so has a bit of a random schedule, Caroline is a singer and also has a varied schedule working several jobs, and Brad works for Greenwich theatre so has a 9-5 schedule as well . We are all busy, very much with our own lives but everyone is super friendly and we enjoy saying hi when we can! It would be great to find a guy to keep the balance, but we're ultimately just looking for someone who would fit in well with the vibe. :)
