We’re looking for a someone to take a room in our massive, beautiful 6 (3 housemates total) bedroom home on Forest Road E8 as I’ve decided to move in with my girlfriend, so you’ll be replacing me. While there's many rooms we only use 3 as bedrooms.
It’s a really spacious and newly renovated house with a beautiful south facing garden, 2 separate offices/studios, a large kitchen / dining room, living room and a wardrobe room to keep all your clothes in.
It means that for the rent, you're essentially getting 3 rooms to work, dress, and sleep in, and the rest of the home to live in!
Housemates:
You’ll be sharing the house with Em, a director & photographer, and Angelica who works in the arts. I’ve lived with them for a few years and have genuinely loved my time with both of them. We’ve had a super fun dynamic here, with dinners, garden fires, outdoor cinema nights, etc. We love spending time together in the house making breakfasts, dinners, watching films, all the good stuff.
Location:
We’re located between Dalston and London Fields stations, a 5 min walk to London Fields and Broadway Market, and there’s some great pubs within a few minutes walk too.
House:
The house is set across 2 floors, and has the most beautiful garden I’ve seen in east London. The garden is south facing with a large patio area, table and chairs, and gets sunlight morning to eve. Looking out onto the garden are the living room and kitchen which each have double doors opening out onto the patio space.
The living room and kitchen are fairly massive measuring 7mx4m each, and are filled with bright sun throughout the day. The kitchen has marble worktops, a gas stove, and a triple oven, so plenty of room to cook for many people!
At the front of the house we have two more large rooms which we're currently using as personal offices when we need to work from home - but these could function for almost anything you need.
Below the house is an amazing basement which is split into 3 more rooms, and provides a huge amount of walk-in storage space.
The room:
The room is a well sized double room with a sash window and separate glazing which makes the room incredibly quiet. As there are 4 bedrooms upstairs but only 3 of us living here, the room comes with it’s own wardrobe room, meaning you can keep the bedroom super minimal whilst having plenty of storage space in the wardrobe room for your clothes (if like me you choose to).
Bathroom:
There’s a small toilet downstairs, whilst the bathroom upstairs has a bath and an amazing rain shower. The separate washer and dryer are here too. As Angelica’s room has an en-suite this bathroom is only shared with 1 other.
Costs:
Rent is £1,395 pcm plus bills, and there’s an admin fee of £50 payable to the estate agent (Savills) for changing the contract and doing reference checks. They will require proof of your current address, photo ID and salary/guarantor info.
