2 rooms in large east London home

Hey, I’m Josh.

I’m 33 years old, easy going and currently enjoying a peaceful and drama free life in East London. I’ve loved living here for the last 12 months and it very much feels like home. Sadly, my wonderful housemates are moving onto pastures new so I’m currently looking for two new people to come and join our urban oasis on Elwin Street.

THE DEAL
I’m looking for respectful, relaxed, mature, and friendly housemates who enjoy a peaceful home environment. If you are looking for an East London party hub, this is not the place for you.

THE ROOMS
Room 1
The first bedroom is on the ground floor with direct access to a small, self-contained courtyard space. The bedroom is huge and has enough room for a king size bed, large wardrobe and a desk (there’s currently a piano in there too!). The room features beautiful, original wood floorboards and patio doors. Everything in the photo listing is for sale. You'd be sharing a bathroom (bath and shower) with Josh only.
Rent is £1000 + £200 all bills (incl. c/tax, utilities, tv, sky, internet)
The room will be available on September 27th with viewings starting right away.

Room 2 w/ en-suite + office
The second room is a large double on the first floor overlooking Jesus Green. With it’s south facing orientation it has an idyllic vibe that takes in the morning sun and with your own en-suite bathroom you’ll feel like you’re living in a country retreat rather than the East End of London. You’ll also have exclusive use of the spare room for storage/office/study.
Rent is £1380 + £200 all bills (incl. c/tax, utilities, tv, sky, internet)
£1000 deposit per person

You will need to be referenced through a letting agent. Ideal for a professional aged 30 and above, females are preferred, No couples. LGBT friendly.

THE HOUSE
To be honest, i’ve never quite gotten over how lucky I am to have found this place. It is beautiful!
Set over three floors are three bedrooms, a huge open plan kitchen/ diner, a basement living room (aka the snug), three toilets/ two bathrooms, and a small but perfectly formed courtyard. We’re also just opposite Jesus Green which doubles as a community garden space.
Plus, despite having the iconic Columbia Road flower market and a bunch of east London’s best restaurants right on our doorstep, it’s really quiet and peaceful.
It’s a 15 minute walk to Bethnal Green Station, 10 minutes to Hoxton and Shoreditch overground and loads of bus routes are 5 minutes or less.

Things like birthday drinks and dinners are obviously very welcome - it’s our home after all - but we don’t have parties and it’s not the place to host an afters.

We all chip in and share household items like oat milk, olive oil, spices, cleaning stuff etc.
