Probably the best house in Hackney

Hey, Laura and Josh here,

Our lovely housemate is sadly moving onto pastures new, and so we’re looking for someone to take over their room.

THE HOUSE AND LOCATION

To honest, we still pinch ourselves at how lucky we are to have found this place. It is beautiful.

Set over three floors, there are 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a huge open plan kitchen / diner, a basement living room (aka snug), and a small, but perfectly formed courtyard. We’re opposite Jesus Green which doubles as a community garden space. Perfect for sunbathing and picnics.

We couldn’t wish for a better location, just off Columbia Road. Everything Hackney has to offer is within easy reach. Despite having the iconic Columbia Road and the buzz of East London on our doorstep, once you’re inside, it’s an oasis of calm. The house is very spacious, and we’ve made it feel like home.

10 min walk to Hoxton
15 min walk to Bethnal Green

THE ROOM

The room is on the ground floor with direct access to a small, self-contained courtyard space. It’s a huge double room, featuring original wooden floorboards and patio doors. The bed and desk aren’t included, but the wardrobe is, and some other bits of furniture will be too.

THE VIBE

We’re looking for a respectful, mature, and friendly housemate with good energy. Josh has lived here for almost 3 years and Laura for nearly 2 years. We randomly become housemates through Spareroom, and we're now friends.

Things like birthday drinks and friends round for dinner are very welcome; it is our home after all. But if you’re looking for an East London party hub, or somewhere to host an afters, this is not the place for you.

We all chip in and share items such as milk, olive oil, spices, cleaning stuff, etc.

THE SMALL PRINT

Rent is £1185. Bills are £200/month. You will be referenced through the letting agent. LGBTQ+ friendly. No couples or pets. The room will be available from Easter weekend.
