Our lovely housemate is moving in with his girlfriend, and so we’re looking for someone to take over his room.

THE HOUSE AND LOCATION

To be honest, we still pinch ourselves at how lucky we are to have found this place. It's beautiful and the location could not be better.

Set over three floors, there are 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a huge open plan kitchen / diner, a basement snug, and a small, but perfectly formed courtyard. We’re opposite Jesus Green which doubles as a community garden space. Perfect for sunbathing and picnics. Permit parking out front.

We couldn’t wish for a better location, just off Columbia Road. The street is so peaceful, almost pedestrianised, with no traffic going past. Everything Hackney has to offer is within easy reach. Despite having the iconic Columbia Road and the buzz of East London on our doorstep, once you’re inside, it’s an oasis of calm. The house is huge and we’ve made it feel like home.

THE ENSUITE ROOM

The room is a lovely double room on the first floor, with its own private bathroom. The bedroom benefits from two large sash windows. The room comes unfurnished, but the bed, mattress and wardrobe (all nearly new) are yours if you want them, for a knock-down price.

THE VIBE

We’re looking for a respectful, mature, and friendly housemate. We all chip in and share items such as milk, olive oil, spices, cleaning stuff, etc. We're easy going and sociable, but equally enjoy doing our own thing. We keep the house clean and tidy.

Things like birthday drinks and friends round for dinner are welcome; it is our home after all. But if you’re looking for an East London party hub, or somewhere to host an afters, this is not the place for you.

THE SMALL PRINT

Rent is £1460. Bills are £150/month approx. You will be referenced through the letting agent. LGBTQ+ friendly. No couples or pets. The room will be available from 27th April.

We’re doing viewings on Sunday 29th March, and if we don't find someone, also Tuesday 31st March.
