Double room in Hackney

We're looking for someone lovely to join us in our colourful flat on Lower Clapton Road.

The Room
A furnished double room, though if you'd prefer it unfurnished we're happy to arrange that.

Location
Lower Clapton Road, Hackney. 10 min walk to Hackney Central and the canal, 9 min bike ride to Broadway Market. Amazing restaurants in our street.

Availability
From 13 April 2026. We're looking for a minimum of 2 months to start, a chance for everyone to make sure it's the right fit, with the possibility to extend if it all works out. If you're looking for a couple months short let that could also work for us.

About Us
We're Sarah and Daniel, a couple working as writer/directors in film. We work from home part-time on irregular freelance schedules, love hosting friends, having people over for dinner, and regular film nights on our projector. Sarah is originally from Amsterdam, Daniel from London. Friendly, relaxed and tidy.
Our current housemate who we have loved living with is moving in with her partner so we're looking for the right person to join us.

What We're Looking For
Someone who brings good energy to the flat, independent, with their own social life, but also happy to be part of a sociable home. We love other artists or people working in the creative field. Since we both work from home, we'd prefer someone who doesn't: we've found it gets a little crowded otherwise. Pets very welcome! Dogs, cats or otherwise, as long as they're housetrained.

The Flat
A bright, colourful, lived-in space with a shared living room, kitchen and bathroom. Very high ceilings. No strict rules beyond the basics: keep it clean & be respectful.
