I'm looking for someone to take over my flatmate's double room from 1 May when the new Renter's Reform Act takes effect - which means a rolling monthly tenancy with predictable rent.
The flat has lots of natural light, with a well fitted kitchen and bathroom that feels modern, calm, and relaxed. Brent House is a gated building that is home to a few dozen renters; we share a courtyard, parking (lots for bikes) storage facilities and bins. The whole building is owned and managed professionally by a Swedish company that operates several in London.
Despite being so close to the high street (2mins), the nightlife (5 mins) and the Overground (7mins), this flat is always nice and quiet. Except when you can hear the bands playing in Victoria Park in the summer. If you're like me, that's a good thing.
I am a professional with the steadiest of jobs - working in the civil service (which means 2-3 days from home each week). I'm easygoing, curious, and I try to be very neat. I am not looking for the perfect flatmate, just someone who I can learn from, scheme with, and make this flat a home that is always relaxing to come back to. BUT it is really important that I live with someone who is queer-friendly, who wants to contribute to their local community, and is open-minded and respectful towards all my friends as I will be with theirs.
