We are Anita and Baldeep, looking for a 3rd person to join our homely flatshare. Our flatmate Shan is moving out as she has found a place of her own - we're sad to see her go but will be keeping in touch.

The ideal move in date is beginning to mid July (eg weekend of 3/4th or 10/11th July). Happy to discuss.

It’s a lovely garden flat on two floors, on a quiet residential street in between Hackney Downs and London Fields. Anita has lived here for 10+ years and Baldeep moved in April. It is located just 4mins walk from Hackney Downs station and 7mins walk from Hackney Central station. Dalston Junction/Kingsland are also nearby, so really well situated in terms of being near great transport links and the hustle and bustle of Dalston but on a nice leafy street. There are lots of shops, bars, cafes etc to enjoy.

THE HOUSE
The room available is a double room, quiet as it's at the back of the house, and bright with a big window overlooking the garden. It has a raised double bed, with a sofa underneath (see pictures), meaning there is space to relax in the room. It's the smallest of all the bedrooms but with a cool, unusual layout and large enough that there is room for a desk/home working and enough floor space for something like a yoga mat if you want to exercise at home. There are lots of shelves in the room to store other items. The room comes with the built-in bed and wardrobe, and we're happy to help source furniture if you need anything else.

We have a well-equipped kitchen with everything you need, a large separate double living room and dining room, giving us lots of space during lockdown. We have a small toilet downstairs and full bathroom upstairs - good pressure and lots of hot water! We also have a large garden and have a good relationship with neighbours and the landlord.

The rent for the room is £650 which includes water rates, but not bills. As an example, bills roughly worked out £130 ish pcm each when at its peak in winter/working from home. The monthly breakdown for bills per person is as follows - council tax, electricity, gas, broadband (roughly £100), fortnightly cleaner (£20), netflix (£5) and shared kitty (eg. £5-£10 for loo roll, cleaning products, shared kitchen items).

ABOUT US
Anita is a freelance creative producer nicknamed by friends as the oracle of random information ie sourcing objects and producing items for displays/events & shoots. She enjoys going to the cinema most weeks and art galleries. Baldeep is an architect that works on community projects for the public sector. In her spare time she like going to the gym, enjoying long walks, cooking & art galleries.

We are quite a creative and social household but you don't need to be, sometimes we do things together, have dinner, watch movies, help each other out, equally happy doing our own thing. The main thing for us is to find someone friendly and easygoing and have a calm, relaxing home where we all feel at ease. In normal times we might have people over for the odd dinner or movie but it’s not a party house. We’re open to having a chat re all things covid as it’s important to be on the same page and feel comfortable.

NEXT STEPS
