Double room in Hackney Wick

I have a double bedroom available for rent in my 3-storey Victorian terraced house in Hackney Wick.

This was my family home until I moved out of London so has a large well-appointed kitchen with the usual appliances (fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, etc.), table and chairs, plenty of workspace and storage, plus a fabulous dual-fuel range cooker – perfect if you love cooking. The kitchen leads out to a small courtyard garden which has secure access to Mabley Green (handy if you’re a cyclist like me).

The bathroom is also very generous in size, is tiled throughout and has a big double-ended bath combined with shower. It also doubles as the utility, housing the washing-machine and drying racks. The house is centrally-heated throughout with a combi-boiler. There is wifi broadband and a cleaner who comes once a week, covering the communal areas.

The double bedroom available to rent is on the ground floor at the rear of the house. I can provide a double bed and other furnishings if required.

I used to stay at the house regularly, however while I maintain the box room as a bedroom, post Covid I am only there very infrequently. There are two other housemates, one male and one female, who you will get to meet before committing.

The room is available to professionals whose personality will fit with the other housemates. Non-smokers only. Your friends are your responsibility –no party animals please!

Rent includes ALL bills (with reasonable usage) and a cleaner who comes once a week. The room is £650 pcm. References and deposit equal to one month’s rent will be required, plus a month’s rent in advance and a minimum 6 month contract.

Hackney Wick is a desirable place to live with local bars, cafes, and a big creative community. It also has the nearby tranquillity of the canals, Hackney Marshes and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Victoria Park and Westfield Shopping Centre are within a short walking distance. In Zone 2, this area is very well-connected for public transport – Hackney Wick overground station is less than 10-minutes away, which is one stop from Stratford (Central and Jubilee underground, DLR, mainline), and the 26, N26, 30, 236 (24hr), 276, 308, 338, 339, 488 and W15 buses all stop close by so it’s really easy to get to Hackney Central / Dalston, the City and the West End … and home again. There are also resident permit parking bays outside.
