We have put our lovely double room in a quiet and clean terraced house up for rent as we are heading back up north to be closer to family! We have loved our time here and we will be sad to go.

The Room:

The room is perfectly suited for either a couple or a single person. It is fully furnished with a comfortable double bed and a huge three-door wardrobe with loads of storage space both inside and above it. It’s on the first floor and the window overlooks our little garden patio outside so it’s quiet and private.

There’s also a desk, drawers and a chair if you work from home. I like to work from my room but you are also welcome to work on the large table in the kitchen or in the living room if you prefer.

The room also easily accommodates a TV (if you like watching or gaming)!

The House:

The house is very quiet and clean with great shared spaces. There is a weekly cleaner who makes sure everything is nice and tidy (included in the rent).

The kitchen is spacious with three fridges, two freezers, dishwasher, a big dining table and lots of cupboard space. It is extremely well equipped with a lot of shared kitchen equipment that you can use (microwave, oven, toasters, blenders etc) and utensils (such as plates, pots, trays, whisks, cutlery etc). Of course, this is optional and you are also welcome to use your own!.

There are two bathrooms so we never have to wait. One has a bath, a shower and a toilet, and the second has a shower and the toilet. The showers run as hot as you like with great pressure. There are towel racks and a big cabinet and shelves to store your toiletries.

The internet, Virgin media & sky sports are all included in the rent. The internet is ultrafast (200 mb/s) and there are signal boosters in the house to make sure you never have to worry about the signal.

There’s a spacious lounge with bright bay windows and two big sofas. There is a shared TV, Chromecast and even some shared books & board games in this room too.

For washing, we have a washing machine and a separate dryer which makes laundry simple. You don’t need to hang any laundry in the bedroom as there is room elsewhere in the house for anything that doesn’t go in the dryer.

Outside we have a secure garden patio with a table, chairs, deckchairs - great for barbecues in the summer.

There’s a shared steel bike rack for bike storage (Santander cycles docks are only a few minutes walk for those without bikes).

If you need any additional storage space, there’s also a basement which you are welcome to use.

The Location:

The house itself is a terraced house on a quiet, residential side street.

The location is super convenient as it takes less than ten minutes to walk Hammersmith tube station (District, Hammersmith & City, Piccadilly & Circle lines). Baron's Court is also very close.

If you enjoy walking, the house is super close to lots of parks and green spaces. For short walks, Margravine cemetery, Bayonne Park, Lillie Park, Fulham Cemetery, Ravenscourt Park, and Bishops Park are all nearby. I like to walk along the Thames River Path in my lunch breaks as it’s so close by. For longer walks, you can reach Hyde Park and Holland Park by foot in 40 minutes, or Chiswick House & Gardens and Fulham Palace are also good options.

There are also lots of supermarkets, shops, restaurants and cafes that can be reached within minutes, so we have definitely been spoilt for choice living here!

When we leave there will be 3 housemates remaining. They are very friendly and thoughtful people who we've really enjoyed living with. They have been great company and we will be very sad to leave them. We have a great balance between occasionally hanging out together, but also understanding that everyone needs space to do their own thing.
