Bright and airy double room, with newly refurbished ensuite – includes cleaner once a fortnight. You'll also have use of the kitchen (I'm a pescatarian), plus the south-facing garden.

Open to letting the room Monday-Friday (£600 pcm).

The house is an Edwardian terrace in a quiet road in Hanwell, close to the Fox pub, the canal, and lovely walks around Warren Farm.

About me: I am a journalist in my 50s working from home, with a 12-year-old rescue cat named O'Malley, who's very shy but lovely once you get to know him! I'm a keen amateur musician (fiddle, double bass and piano), so occasionally friends come round for a practice during the day.

17-minute walk to Hanwell station, on the Elizabeth line. 25-minute walk to Boston Manor station, on the Piccadilly line, or 3-minute walk to bus stop to get a bus there – also for frequent buses into Ealing Broadway or to Brentford

Neighbourhood
Hanwell is a vibrant and 'villagey' place, with loads of green spaces. My house is a three-minute walk to the canal for lovely walks down to Brentford, or over the lock to the beautiful Warren Farm nature reserve. Lots of great pubs and restaurants nearby – and a fantastic chip shop!
