Hello there.

Up for rental is a good sized double room (proper double, enough room to swing multiple cats if you feel so inclined) in a 2 bed flatshare on the Haringey Ladder. The flat is very spacious and light with the benefit of it being halfway up the "ladder" and therefore actually fairly quiet for somewhere quite central. Green Lanes is just down the road, Finsbury park a 15 minute walk away as well as Woodberry Wetlands Centre. It's well connected with stations including Haringey Green Lanes, Manor House and Turnpike Lane. Crouch End is just up the road as is Highgate Woods... Good sized kitchen (with the best washing up spot in london) with all the amenities, a decent amount of storage space in a mezzanine level and in the loft. Spacious lounge with huge bay windows in the Victorian style, 2 big couches and lots and lots of light. Big long hallway and a good sized bathroom and generally good light throughout. Incidentally bills come to about £100 each per month including all the usual things such as Council Tax, broadband and energy. The flat is a really nice space to live in and after two years it feels like home to me. I especially like the area - loads to do, excellent food and vibrant. The property is managed by an agent, however he only manages about ten properties and takes a minimal amount in fees plus the upfront deposit is only equivalent to a months rent and NOT 6 weeks so it feels very much like renting privately. The room comes with a large mirrored wardrobe and chest of drawers. We might be able to arrange for a new bed if you do not have one.

About me: Male, 48, works in education as a music technician as well as a freelance sound engineer and multi-instrumentalist. I'm clean and tidy, always pays the rent and bills on time, prefers a quiet night in to a big night out, loves to cycle and play my mandolin but not at the same time. Incidentally I've been renting at the property for two years. It's a great spot with some awesome restaurants along Green Lanes plus a pretty amazing local in the Salisbury Hotel. Also pretty good transport links with buses and overground and IKEA is about a 20 min bus ride away. Parkswise there's Clissold, Finsbury and Chestnut plus the beautiful Woodberry Down Wetlands Centre. Also Alexandra Palace just up the road as well as Lea Valley a couple of miles away.

About you: Preferably a similar age group: 30 onwards is good for me. Someone who's respectful of other people that they live with, who is working (this is vital), who pays the rent on time and is easy to get on with. Someone who is clean and tidy and not a party animal and someone who shares a few similar interests.

The room is available from the 3rd August and I am hoping to begin viewings as soon as possible.
