Hello lovely people!
We have a large double room available from 1st of May in our ground floor warehouse flat-share with a great outside space.
Main Pros:
* Small warehouse – only 4 rooms – all the benefits of living in a warehouse without the downsides
* Large open plan living room/kitchen area with high ceilings and plenty of natural light
* Incredible outside deck area with all-day sun in the summer – WFH in a hammock!
* Really friendly vibe, lots of house activities – house dinners, movie nights, BBQs
* Great relationship with the neighbours – there will always be someone to hang out with. The flat is 5 people but you’ll definitely have the chance to get involved with the wider community
* All the usuals: washer, dryer, 2 modern bathrooms with walk-in showers, fully equipped kitchen, etc.
* Locked Bike Shed
* Your friends will know you as the person with the cool flat
About the room:
Large room with very high ceilings, offered unfurnished or part-furnished. The room has an internal window looking out onto the living room to let natural light in, as well as built in mezzanine.
Rent: £787.5pcm, bills are on top of the rent and are approx. £105 pcm (pp). Deposit – £855.
About us:
We are all laid-back, sociable, tidy people and we like to grab food and drinks together or get out around London. Between us we have lots of hobbies varying from gardening, cooking to running, and the odd MarioKart tournament.
We try to keep things quiet during the week as people have jobs, but there is always something social to do around the house and in the local area. You will not be bored.
Our values and expectations:
Care – You need to care! This is a relationship you are investing in. We would like to have people that are excited to engage and develop long-lasting friendships with your flatmates and also the neighbours but we are also very understanding of a person’s need for personal space.
Team Player – We like to say, the house is a rowing boat not a cruise line. We party hard but we work hard as well: we actively support each others’ aspirations and cheer each other on, but also are responsible and accountable to each other and the house – we have cleaning rota and share chores each week.
Look back! – The house and its communal spaces should be treated like a public park – after your use, make sure you clean up after yourself and minimise your footprint.
Communication - We value feedback and transparency. We don't like to beat around the bush. If there is a problem, we talk about it, look for solutions and respond accordingly.
Lastly, we are looking for someone excited about the warehouse lifestyle – It’s a creative, entertaining, lively, and open neighbourhood. So you can party hard in the other warehouses but are still able to come back to the house and find a chill zone. It’s a really nice way to get the two worlds in one.
About the area:
The flat is in the Harringay Warehouse district - 10 minutes walk from 3 stations:
- Manor House (Picadilly line)
- Seven Sisters (Overground, Victoria line)
- Stamford Hill (Overground)
The warehouse area is hidden off Eade Road, and feels like its own little village. There is a bar/pizza place (New River Studios) that is the focal point of the community, which also puts on art exhibitions, acts as a recording studio, hosts a radio station. There's community organised Yoga classes, lots of deck parties, plenty of interesting people that can teach you something new - from guitar to operatic singing to trapeze. Oh, and lets not forget about the Arcade!
There is large Sainsbury’s and retail park 10 minutes walk away. Stoke Newington and Church Street are nearby with nice pubs, cafes and shops or there’s Haringey Green Lane close by for great Turkish food. Finsbury park and Woodberry wetlands and reservoirs are just around the corner and they're both great - there's also a nice walk around New River which runs right next to the Warehouse District.
If you interested, drop us a line with some info about yourself. We expect a high number of replies, so please take your time to include some details - work, interests, hobbies, expectations for the flat and housemates, likes, dislikes, etc. Bonus points if you will tell us a name of your first pet and your thoughts on our house values!
We work as a team, so it takes a minute to read through the messages - please be patient with us, promise to respond to everyone as quick as we can! We will be arranging viewings for 7-12th of April, so let us know your availability for those dates as well.
Looking forward to meeting you!
