ABOUT US: Hello, we are Anna (28), Dan (26) and Julia (28), three friends with a room going free from end of May (flexible-ish) in our house share in north London. We love this house but sadly our fourth housemate is moving out as she has somehow managed to bag a house on the savage London housing market! Anna is an architectural journalist, Dan works in housing PR and Julia is a cancer research lab manager. We are all open-minded, easy-going, and sociable. We are hoping to find an LGBT+ friendly housemate, wfh or more office-based both welcome.
THE ROOM: It’s £894 pcm for a good sized upstairs room (the breakdown is; rent £750; council tax £61; gas and electric tariff £49; wifi £14).
THE HOUSE: We absolutely love this house. It has a huge courtyard with fruit trees which we use for BBQs all summer, a spacious open-plan kitchen and dining area, a living room which we all regularly use for working from home, wide hallways with space to store loads of bikes, and loads of extra storage space. We treat it like a proper home and like to keep it clean, so we’ve got a cleaning rota which means everyone does a room once a week.
THE LOCATION: The house is on La Rose Lane, near Green Lanes in Harringay. We’re just off Wood Green Road, which is a really nice high street with Tesco, Sainsbury’s, coffee shops and restaurants, and about 15 mins walk from Finsbury Park. Turnpike Lane tube station is 10 mins West and Seven Sisters 15 mins East, plus all the main bus routes in the area basically run straight down our road to central London.
