Sadly I'm moving overseas for work and am looking for someone chilled, sociable and tidy to join my amazing flatmate Olly in Highbury.

Hi everyone, I’m a 29 year old Australian working for a mechanical electrical company. I’ve been living here in London for six months. During the week I love nothing more than a home cooked meal with a glass of wine. My weekends I usually hang with friends, explore neighbouring areas and indulge in more food. Also enjoy travelling so I’ll be taking advantage of the many interesting nearby countries. Ideally wanting to find someone like Amanda. She’s been so good to live with and I’ve struck gold with this apartment!

A bit about the Flat:

The flat is in a small block of 20 flats that are just over 9 years old. It's on 2 levels with a living room, large modern kitchen and 2 bathrooms (one for each bedroom). The flat was designed for shared living, with both bedrooms and bathrooms at separate ends of the flat with their own staircases. It also has a shared garden/patio which is great when the sun comes out! And if you cycle, there’s a secure bike shed.

It's neutrally decorated throughout, homely and really great value for its size and the area. It's located at the Highbury Barn end of Blackstock Road so it's quite residential whilst also being within walking distance of all the great shops, cafes, restaurants and bars of Highbury, Upper Street, Stoke Newington and Newington Green. It's also just 10 mins walk away from leafy Highbury Fields, Clissold park or Woodbury Wetlands.

Our rent is £780 pcm and bills come to approximately £150 per month each, including WiFi.

Transport:

The flat has excellent transport links - it's just over 5 mins walk to Arsenal tube (Piccadilly line), 10 mins walk to Finsbury Park (Victoria line) or 15 mins to Highbury & Islington where you can get the Victoria line or Overground. There's also a bus stop outside serving routes 19, 4 and 236 every 3 or 4 minutes.

The Room:

The large Double room comes furnished with a double bed and wardrobe. It also has its own bathroom with a shower and bath!

I'm looking at selling some of my furniture as I'm moving overseas - most of it is less than a year old and as-new condition. If you'd be interested in keeping any of it please let me know.

The move in date is 25th February, and you will need to the sign the lease with our agency for 5 months as our lease is up for renewal on the 1st August. There will be a reference check fee unfortunately of approx. £100.
