Double room next to Highbury Fields

Hello potential new flatmate!

We're Moritz and Sophie, and we've got a room available for rent from December 5th in our two-storey apartment, a 2min walk from Highbury Fields and a 5min walk from Highbury & Islington Station.

The flat has a large, light-filled living room looking out onto a leafy street. The kitchen is small but bright and functional - we manage to fit three people cooking at one time. There is a tidy bathroom and a second toilet. The rooftop terrace is unfurnished but a great place to sunbathe!

It's on a quiet street despite being so close to the Fields and Upper Street. The building is a beautiful old terrace with lots of character, but it also comes with the creaky floorboards and rattling windows of an old building - so if you're a very light sleeper, this might not be the home for you!

The bedroom available is on the main floor of the house and has a lovely leafy outlook that gets the morning sun. The room comes with a double bed and wardobe as well as plenty of additional shelving. It also has a small built in storage cupboard and would have room for a desk if needed.
Bills are paid on top of the rent and split evenly - and this includes high-speed internet and a fortnightly cleaner. They come to approximately £100 per month.

About us: Moritz works as an accountant in Shoreditch. He grew up in a small town in the Italian Alps, he enjoys hiking and has a serious addiction to house plants (70 plants and counting!). He enjoys exploring new bars and restaurants and rumour has it he makes some sick daiquiris. Sophie works for a tech consultancy and has a weakness for cheese and wine. She loves reading and getting outdoors (when it’s not freezing!), and is on a mission to find London’s best coffee. We both travel as often as possible in non-covid life and share meals and wine whenever we can (mulled wine is becoming a regular occurrence).

We're looking for a flatmate of any gender or occupation, who has a positive, friendly energy and is an adult about household cleanliness and admin. All the normal requirements like the habit of cleaning up after yourself and reliability with paying bills and rent. We use Splitwise to track household expenses, and we each pay our rent directly to the landlord. We're looking for someone who wants to take part in making the house a home and enjoy the company of their housemates.
