Spacious room in friendly house - 2mins from park

Hi!

My lovely double room in our 4 bed flat is available to rent. I've had to move back home due to the current crisis, I'm so gutted to be leaving!

The three girls I live with are lovely; all professionals in their twenties who enjoy (under normal circumstances!) hanging out with friends, exploring London, eating out, travelling and catching up over a bottle of wine from time to time! We've lived together for a few months now and we all get along really well. Everybody's really friendly, considerate and welcoming and I had no problems settling in.

The room is huge with lots of wardrobes and loads of space for drawers etc. There's still plenty of floor space left over for exercise which has been a godsend during lockdown!

Our flat is spread over the top two floors of a beautiful period property, so it feels more like a house than a flat. It has beautiful high ceilings and a huge living room with large bay windows, a fireplace (it doesn't work but it looks nice!) and real wood flooring. The bathroom has a great shower and a separate bath, plus a pretty decent size cupboard for keeping cleaning supplies etc in.

My housemates are looking for somebody friendly who'd be interested in doing some things as a house. They do all have their own things going on as well, so we haven't ended up living in each other's pockets!

It would be great to find someone who wants to have a chat over dinner, pop to the pub (when they're open!), watch the odd series together or go out now and again to explore London. We've been so lucky to have each other during the lockdown, so far we've made a pub-style Sunday roast, had a cocktail party and game night! With so many green spaces nearby we're looking forward to having a house picnic soon!

Highbury and Islington is perfect for commuting (again under normal circumstances) with access to the Victoria line, overground and Great Northern trains. From our flat you can be at Oxford Circus or St Paul's in 20 minutes, perfect for shopping or working in the city. Islington Council also has a great Try Before You Bike scheme for anyone considering cycling to work, it lets you hire a bike for £20 a month and gives you free cycle skills classes.

We're also just a short bus or walk away from Angel (bus stop right outside the house!) where there's a northern line tube station, and a massive Sainsbury's, Tesco, M&S and Waitrose.

Stoke Newington is a short walk away and full of great cafes and bars, several of which have managed to open again. We had a great walk there as a house last weekend to buy some (very delicious!) cake and walk through the park.

The bills are not included in the price of the room and come to £98 per month. This includes the council tax, TV licence, Sky TV, internet, water, and gas/electric. We did have a cleaner visiting once a month for the communal areas which is included in that price, but under the circumstances, we have paused that indefinitely.

I'm really sad to be leaving this great flat and the lovely flatmates who come with it, but I've had a great time here.
