We are looking to fill the third room in our house! We live in a lovely bright split-level flat (converted townhouse) in the wonderful area of Highgate.
The flat is really well-connected with a 5-minute walk either to Archway (zone 2) or Highgate station (both Northern Line) and Highgate Village just up the hill. There are three bus routes running 24h from almost right outside the front door. Waterloo and Bank are just 30 minutes away by tube, it takes 15 mins to get to Camden.
Despite being so well connected, the house is on a quiet little side street next to a Church. We are at the top level of our building and there is little to no neighbour noise. Highgate is also a very safe area and great to live in. There are lots of great pubs nearby, and some really nice walks (including Hampstead Heath, Highgate Wood, and the Parkland Walk).
You'll be sharing with 2 other young professionals. Nicky is British and works in Parkinson's research at UCL. She loves cooking, sports, music and experiencing what London has to offer. Favorite drink is probably wine.
Sally is also English and works in design. She has a wedding photography business that keeps her busy on the weekends. She loves music and sings a bit. Sally is also handy in the kitchen, having worked her way through most of Jamie Oliver’s recipe books.
We are very social people. We like going out and experiencing everything London, going for drinks and trying our hands at the local pub quizzes. We also chill out in the house often and enjoy it being a nice environment to hang out in.
We are both laid back, and looking for someone similar. Someone who cleans up after themselves, but doesn’t get bothered if there are a couple of dishes that haven’t immediately been washed up. Someone who has their own life and friends, but is keen to hang out with us sometimes.
The bedroom itself is large and airy. It has a double bed and loads of storage - a large wardrobe, multiple draws and a massive big windows that look out onto the gardens and forest behind the house (unfortunately not ours). Despite being large, the space is very warm in winter. The room is available from now.
The cost is £660/month before bills. Approximately £100 on top of that for bills including broadband.
We’re looking for someone in full-time employment who is willing to sign on the lease (£162 for changing the name on the lease).
If we sound like people you could bear to share a house with, please get in touch! Come around and see the place and we’ll have a chat! Looking forward to meeting you!
