Large room in Holborn for fabulous folk

Ad ref# 15181366

My beloved housemate is moving on to pastures new so I'm looking for a new co-habitant for this amazing flat. It's a large double room (biggest in the flat) with big windows, sturdy furniture and period features. It's available from late June/early July, but we can be flexible. It's a 6 month contract to begin but is very likely to be extended if you love living here as much as I do. Bills are £150-180 a month as we're in a high council tax zone, I am looking at ways to reduce that but you're realistically looking at £950-980 all in per month.

The flat is in a big old building in Holborn, equidistant between Holborn and Tottenham Court Road (5 min walk to both). It was built in 1888 so she's a quirky old gal, wooden floors throughout, a bizarrely high amount of stained glass and suuuper high ceilings. There's a shared shower room, separate toilet, small living room and kitchen. We also have a guest room that you can use if family or friends come to stay, I currently use it as an office because I'm working from home full time. The shared spaces aren't massive so it's no good for parties but we throw one hell of a book club/dinner.
Location-wise it's amazing, we're on the road next to the British Museum. You have Soho, Covent Garden, the West End & Oxford Street on our doorstep. Everything you could need is within a short walk.

You'd be sharing with one person: lil ol' me. I'm Polly (she/her), 26, trilingual, from Kent. I work in the charity sector and I'm passionate about books, anti-racism activism, fat liberation, feminism and food. It's an LGBTQ+ friendly house, happy to meet anyone and everyone as long as you treat people with respect and an open mind. I speak Spanish & Italian (and crappy German) and would love an international person to practice my languages/learn new ones!

I used to be a professional cook so there is free food in it for you. I cook most nights so worth bearing that in mind if you also cook a lot as we have a small kitchen. I don't smoke (asthma) so would prefer non-smokers. I come with a record collection, a plethora of uselessly specific kitchen gadgets and a lot of books that I'm happy to share. I like having my own space and time as my life is often full-on but am also keen to get on well with the people I live with.

Shoot me over a question, happy to answer anything :)
