Room In Awesome Houseshare!

Hello there good people.

OK, I might be a little biased (having lived here for a while) but it really is. It an AWESOME price (probably the lowest in London), AWESOME sized rooms (no shoeboxes) and with AWESOME people. What more could you ask for?? Opportunities like this don't come up every day (they may do) so be sure to get in fast and come around to have a look.

THE ROOM:
One word: Spacious. They all have high ceilings and large windows, so nice and bright especially when the sun comes flooding in.

The room up for grabs is available from 5 November. It comes with a double bed and a wardrobe, so there is plenty of space to bring along your own furnishings. The room is at the rear of the house, overlooking the backyard and pretty much has all day sun! I'm not biased but I think it's the best room in the house :)

THE HOUSE:
We have 6 bedrooms, across 3 floors and 2 bathrooms with shower and toilet (so never any waiting). The kitchen has the normal stuff and all the utensils you could need. We each have plenty of cupboard and fridge space, and have a separate washing machine. In the living room we have Virgin TV, where you can join someone for a glass of wine or beer, some quality trash TV (Gogglebox, First Dates, Love Island, 24 hours in A&E) or a good movie but there will be times you can just chill yourself. We also have a large attic, under-stairs storage and an outhouse for spare bits and bobs like suitcases etc. (So if you have heaps of stuff, it’s not a problem). The backyard soaks up all day sun and provides a wonderful setting for bbq’s or generous Pimms sessions – or just to hang your washing on the line!

A regular cleaner has been employed before Covid for the communal areas but we’re all currently keeping the house spick and span.

THE HOUSEMATES:
A mixed bunch but a good bunch, so it’s really interesting getting to know each other. Everyone has their own schedules and lives outside the house, so we never feel we’re on top of each other. It’s an easy going household with a social atmosphere, but respectful if you need/want your own space. We have a relaxed approach to sharing the usual household responsibilities to keep the place in good shape, we all pitch in when need be and always clean up after ourselves. We are considerate and enjoy both the loud times and the quiet times and are looking for someone who rolls much the same way.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD:
As for neighbourhood amenities, it’s really all on the door step: Boots, Superdrug, Costa, KFC, McDonalds, Sports Direct, Argos… There’s plenty of good cafes, restaurants, and most importantly pubs! (The Tollington is just 1 min walk away!) We have gyms, Odeon cinema, and Finsbury Park which is great to chill for sunny summer days, only a hop, skip and a jump away. And the Supermarkets:
• 2 min walk to the big Morrisons end of the road
• 3 min walk to Waitrose
• 5 min walk to Tesco Express
• 30 sec walk to corner shop for emergencies!

We must have the best transport connections in London:
• 10 mins walk to Finsbury Park (Victoria Line, Overground to Cambridge and Moorgate)
• 10 mins walk to Holloway Road (Piccadilly Line)
• 15 mins walk to Highbury & Islington (Victoria Line, Overground)
• 1 min walk to bus (for Angel, Camden, City and Westend….and beyond!)

THE MONEY:
Rent is £487 per calendar month, which also includes council tax, Virgin internet and TV. Bills are additional, approx. £50 per month and shared between the house mates every quarter.

The landlord is very responsive to any issues which may arise and we never get any hassle.
