Double-room in homely flat in Clapton/Homerton area, QTBIPOC-friendly housemates of British-Nigerian/Latinx origins, working as creatives, educators, and activists.

The flat is bright and spacious and includes a separate reception/living room. It has lots of light, nice views, and is literally 10 seconds walk from the canal and acres of green - which is helpful during lockdown. Wooden floorboards give the flat a cosy feel. The double room comes with a double bed, wardrobe, and a desk. Really nice private landlord, and homely vibes!

We've been living here for a few months and our friend has decided to move back in with his parents so we're looking for someone who needs a place to stay for a few weeks or up to a month during these weird times. Everything is already set up in terms of furniture, bills, etc so no drama there :)

As mentioned, it’s in a very green part of Clapton/Hackney, 5-min walk from the usually bustling Chatsworth Road (restaurants, Sunday market) and Hackney Marshes, 7-min from Homerton station, 12-min from Hackney Wick. Everywhere you look, there’s greenery, but still close to great food and nightlife. The area itself is embedded in the community, which is refreshing compared to other places in London.

You would be sharing the flat with Vanessa, 30yo facilitator and educator raised between Oxford and London, and is of Nigerian heritage; Adriano, 30yo journalist and documentary filmmaker originally from Uruguay, but grew up as a refugee between Sweden and Uruguay; and Natalia, 28yo urban planner and architect coming from Mexico.

We’re chill and open-minded people. We value good communication, kindness and cleanliness. We’re looking for someone sociable who would enjoy spending time together, although we also appreciate and respect each other’s time and privacy.

Rent is £650 + bills with one month’s deposit. Room available as soon as needed, flexible move-in. Viewings now (virtual or otherwise)!
