1-3month sublet in a beautiful 2-bedroom flat

Hello, people of Spareroom!

I am subletting my beautiful bright double room in a 2-bedroom flat for 1-3 months starting immediately with end date being super flexible. A fair bit of information below, happy reading!

THE FLAT

It's a 2-bedroom ground floor flat in Hornsey in a gated purpose built development. The flat has a lovely open plan living room/ kitchen so you can chat to your housemate while you cook or put on TV while you're making a cup of tea. It's looking all festive in the pictures, and although the Xmas tree is no longer there the fairy lights are staying so the dark winter evenings are made cozy! The kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you might need, there's even a standing mixer Bruce if you're into baking. We don't own a microwave though but the oven does the job! There's a big bathroom with a bathtub, so if you're into your baths you're in for a treat. There are a few plants in the flat, both my/ your bedroom and the living room so ideally you'll be a plant lover who can hopefully keep the plants alive in my absence - I've got a moisture meter so you'll always know when to water them. The landlord is super helpful and efficient so if there are any issues during your stay he or the on-site maintenance man will fix them quick.

THE ROOM

It's a great size super bright double bedroom with a large double bed, wardrobe and shelving - I'm leaving everything as it is, so the room is lovely and homely, and I've made sure to make space in the wardrobe, chest of drawers and shelves for your belongings. The room gets sunlight all day so it's perfect, especially during the darker months when you want as much daylight as you can get!

THE LOCATION

The flat is in Hornsey, and honestly the location couldn't be more perfect - Crouch End is 10min walk away with lots of great cafes, bakeries, pubs and restaurants to choose from, however we are closer to excellent transportation links. Closest train station Hornsey is 5min walk away and the train takes you directly to Finsbury Park, Highbury & Islington and Moorgate. The closest underground station Turnpike Lane (Piccadilly Line so night tube) is about 10min walk away, but closer if you're a fast walker. There are plenty of buses too, and night buses also. Ally Pally and Priory Parks are only a short walk away so there's plenty of greenery around too! Wood Green high street is also super close with everything you might need - might not be the best place to hang out, but super efficient and with VUE with £6 cinema tickets!

ABOUT US (MORE ABOUT MY FLATMATE YOU'LL BE SHARING WITH)

My flatmate and I have become really good friends, we enjoy a night in with a glass of wine while listening to music and playing board games or a pint in our local pub (that dangerously is two doors down, and is absolutely excellent!). We are both in our early 30s, both professionals so naturally would like someone similar to take over my room for these months to keep her company. She works Mon-Fri, sometimes from home, and has a desk in her own room so the living room is free for you to enjoy during the day in case you're home during the week (like I am sometimes since I work in hospitality so have a flexible schedule). She is sociable, however also loves her own space and her own time. She goes for long walks when the weather allows and loves Below Deck.

ABOUT YOU

I would like to find a mature, responsible, respectful and clean person to sublet my room who is easy to get along with, preferably a female between 25 and 35 years old, but of course everyone is welcome to get in touch and will be reviewed equally. You might be staying in London only for a little while or maybe you're waiting on a future flat/ house to come through, or maybe you simply don't want to pay a deposit at this moment in time. I'm essentially leaving my room and my flat so MY HOME in your hands for this month so I just want to find someone who's going to enjoy it as much as I do, and take good care of it in my absence! We don't have a cleaning rota as such - it's the two of us so we clean after ourselves and then take turns when cleaning the common areas - living room, bathroom and kitchen, however if it's easier for you to have a cleaning rota I'm sure my housemate would be keen to agree on this.
