Hi!
Hope you’re well and thanks for checking out this post.
I have a really lovely double room and bathroom available in a lovely High Street Kensington flat. Please get in touch if you’re interested or have any questions.
YOUR ROOM: The room is a large double room 4.26 x 3.6m (14 feet by 12 feet) with grey carpet. It can be very bright and light, or dark and private. It is the quietest room in the entire flat with one window that faces away from the main road and another that faces towards the neighbouring homes. It comes with:
• Two closets (one large and one small)
• One set of drawers
• One double bed with a wooden headboard
• Multiple shelves (one long one above the bed and three against the opposite wall)
• Full-length mirror
• Airconditioning for the hot summer months
BATHROOM: There are two bathrooms in the flat. One will primarily be yours and includes a shower (excellent water pressure), sink, toilet and heated towel rack. Unfortunately, the bathtub does not work. Although it will be your bathroom, being a shared flat, toilet facilitates are communal.
SHARED FLAT: This is a high spec flat (that could use a lick of paint in various places). It consists of a kitchen, living room, two bathrooms, three bedrooms and an office. The kitchen consists of two very large built-in fridge/freezers (one fridge/freezer would be yours), an oven, stove, microwave, washer/dryer, dishwasher, toaster, large sink, etc. The living room consists of a sofa and armchair, large TV and an eating table that can extend to seat six people.
THE BUILDING: Large art deco building with lifts, a porter who delivers the mail and a beautiful communal courtyard that rarely anyone uses.
THE SITUATION: I am the only person who currently lives in the flat.
YOUR HOUSEMATE: My friends say that I am a genuine guy. I love bouldering and climbing, craft beer and cycling. I am a material science engineer and currently work for a start-up. At present, I work from home, but am quite sociable and spend a handful of evenings each week out with friends going for a run or a meeting at a pub. When I am home, I am often watching a documentary or making spicy food.
YOU: I am looking for a male flatmate, preferably a professional, who is similarly considerate, friendly and happy to hang out on occasion. Since I work from home, it would be great if you had an office to work from at least some of the time. You’d also need to be happy with a housemate who smokes a nicotine vape that is scent-free.
You also need to be vaccinated and conscientious about complying with COVID recommendations when outside of the flat (assuming they all don't go away).
THE AREA: We are just off Early Court Road as well as a five-minute walk to High Street Kensington and Holland Park. It’s a very safe, pretty neighbourhood, located a few minutes away from the Scarsdale Pub, the Tesco Super Store and a 7-minute walk to the Earls Court Tube Station.
THE RENT: £1000 per month includes all bills: wi-fi, council tax and heating. Private live-in landlord, no property agency. First and last month’s rent and references required.
AVAILABILITY: The room will be free in late Feb 2022.
VIEWING: If you are interested, please let me know and I'll invite you to a viewing. To make things easy, the first viewing will be done via Facetime/WhatsApp and for the second viewing, I am happy for you to see the flat in person.
SMALL PRINT: Sorry, but this flat is not available to couples, people who want to party at home, pets, messy people or people who are not vaccinated. Thank you for understanding.
