Hey! My name’s Luke. I’m looking for a new flatmate to move into a room with an en-suite bathroom in King’s Cross.
*The flat*
The building has a lobby with concierge, a parcel room, bike storage, and two elevators.
This is a 12th floor, 2 bedroom flat. There’s a large hallway with this room at one end and my room on the opposite side at the far end, with the main bathroom in between. There’s a shared coat/shoe cupboard and small utility cupboard. There’s a shared living room/dining area/kitchen which opens out onto a large balcony with a brilliant view over the City, East and North-East London.
*The room*
It’s got an en-suite with a walk-in shower, toilet, sink, cupboard, heated towel rail, overhead lighting and downlighting under the mirror. The room is furnished with a double bed with mattress and two bedside tables. There’s a cupboard with a clothing rail and a shelf. The room has dimmable overhead lighting and plugs on every wall. Dimensions are ~14ft x ~9ft.
*Location*
The flat is located on York Way in King’s Cross.
It’s a 5 minute walk to Lewis Cubitt Park and the Jellicoe Gardens. It’s an 8 minute walk to Coal Drops Yard, Granary Square, Gasholder Park, Regents Canal, Caledonian Park. There’s plenty of shops nearby, including a Sainsbury’s local next door and a large Waitrose by Granary Square. There’s gyms, restaurants and bars, an Everyman Cinema, the Lightroom gallery, Electric Shuffle, and food/artisan markets Thursday-Sunday, all within 10 minutes walk. It’s a 20 minute walk to Camden Town and Islington.
It’s about a 15 minute walk to King’s Cross, St. Pancras, Caledonian Road, and Camden Road stations.
King’s Cross St. Pancras is on the Northern, Victoria, Piccadilly, Metropolitan, Circle, and Hammersmith & City lines. There are Thameslink, Eurostar and various mainline services. Camden Road is on the Mildmay line. The 390 bus stops outside the flat.
It’s 40 minutes door-to-door using public transport to Luton Airport, and 1hr door-to-door to Gatwick and Heathrow.
*About me*
My name’s Luke, I’m 29, and I’ve been in this flat for 3 years. I’m self-employed running a creative studio so I’m working from home unless I’m on a shoot or in meetings. I'm clean and tidy, sociable, travel fairly frequently, generally in and out at reasonable hours.
*What I’m looking for*
Friendly, clean and tidy people who like the flat and the local area. This will be a rolling lodging agreement — I can commit to up to 10 months now, and longer stays may be possible down the line, though this depends on my own situation with the flat.
*Pricing*
The total rent including bills is £1650/month — includes council tax (Band F), electricity, water, internet. Deposit is £1900.
