A double bedroom is available in this bright, two-bedroom flat.
The flat:
Spacious living room with new sofas and fold-out six-seater dining room table.
Sheltered balcony with table and chairs.
Big south-facing windows fill the flat with light all day and overlook a green park.
Large, fitted kitchen.
Separate bathroom and toilet room.
The room:
Spacious. Bright. Enjoys sun all day. Overlooks the balcony and the park. Double-bed. Large chest of drawers. Lots of storage space. £815 pcm including all bills, council tax and shared costs e. g. cleaning materials etc.
Location:
Just a few minutes south of the river, by Lambeth Bridge. Waterloo, Lambeth North, Kennington, Westminster and Vauxhall Tube stations are all 10-15 minutes' walk away, but as it’s so central, we normally get around by foot. The Southbank Centre is 20 minutes’ walk away. So is Trafalgar Square. Piccadilly Circus is 30. It’s also secure; we can literally see Lambeth Police station from our window.
About us:
This two-bed flat is shared with me and my partner. I suppose we’re two young(ish) professionals.
I work in education (former teacher). I like a good podcast, go running a lot, and have a penchant for foxes. I drink gin and tonic, but am nurturing a suspicion that I might mostly like the taste of the tonic.
He has just finished his PhD in politics, and occasionally calls himself an academic. He cooks a lot, runs a little, and occasionally, to everyone’s bewilderment, reads history books for fun. He works from home and recurrently attends to our house plants, which are much-loved.
We like: chatting to our flat mates, good beer, being outside, seeing friends, occasional 'high culture' (exhibitions, theatre) and much more frequent low culture (pizza, Netflix, lazing).
We are: (even if we do say so ourselves): friendly, tidy, relaxed and reasonable flatmates.
We’re looking for: the normal mix of responsible housemates who let others sleep on week nights, keep things clean but don't mind if tea mugs take a few hours to be washed up. Most of all, we'd like to be friends with our housemates, and for them to be friends back.
