Double Room near Brixton / Camberwell

Looking for an easy going and friendly person to take over my contract for this amazing double bedroom in a fantastic zone 2 location.

The Room
I have lived here for a year and have had it configured slightly differently to what you see in the photos. It has two large windows which is great for letting light in. The room comes furnished with double bed, big chest of drawers, wardrobe, bedside table, foldable chair, and a built-in set of shelves. It is big enough to fit a desk and chair in for those working from home.

The Housemates
Paolo and Nick are very friendly and, although everyone is busy with their own lives, we try and find some time to spend together in the evening – be it cooking, watching TV, or going to the pub. Paolo is self-employed and a keen cook which has been great in the past. Nick is studying to be a developer and will be moving out when the tenancy renews in October.

The House
We have a garden, sitting room, kitchen, plenty of storage, and one bathroom with a shower/bath combo. We also have a cleaner who comes once a week so the place always feels clean and tidy. Our kitchen has two fridge/freezer combos (one belongs to Paolo but it means you’ll be sharing the larger one with only one other person).

Rent is £650 and bills are roughly £135 including utilities, council tax, wifi and a weekly cleaner. Deposit is £750.

The Area
The house is in a fantastic location, just a 3 minute walk from the wonderful Ruskin park which has fantastic views across London from Big Ben to The City. There is a coop, tesco express, and 24-hour Nisa a stone’s throw away as well as two really great pubs - The Cambria and The Junction. Loughborough Junction is a 2 min walk away and is a quick route to Blackfriars on the Thameslink line between Sutton and St Albans. Denmark Hill is a 10 min walk away and has Southeastern services to Victoria, Dartford, and Gillingham and Overground services between Highbury and Islington and Clapham Junction. Brixton is a 15 minute walk away too for the Victoria line and the overground services there.

I’m looking to fill this room by September 18th where you will take over my tenancy before re-signing on October 4th.
