Hello,

I’m looking to sublet my spare room in my lovely Leyton flat from mid to late May 2024 for either MON-FRI or a short term basis.

Ideally it would be to another woman, but I am open to males on a case-by-case basis as I know it can be hard to find places.

It’s a double room in a tidy and well-maintained top floor Warner flat, which comes complete with a friendly adult cat.

The flat is situated right across from Aldi off Lea Bridge Road and is a short bus ride away from Clapton and Hackney or indeed Walthamstow Central and Leyton. It’s also a short walk to Lea Bridge Station, which is one stop on the train to Stratford (which takes you to Central, Jubilee, Elizabeth Line & more in minutes) or one stop to Tottenham Hale (which takes you to the Victoria Line or Stanstead express).

It comes with a kitchen diner and all the necessary furniture, a full bathroom suite, washer and dryer, an iron and mini-ironing board, a shared garden with the downstairs neighbours which you can access from our internal stairs if you wish to smoke.

The room is currently furnished with a double bed, chest of drawers, clothes rail - and spare bedding, pillows and towels are available if needed.

This is the perfect space if you need somewhere that's homely but chilled where you can lay your head down during the week.

As for me: I work online for a radio brand and I’m usually out some evenings during the week. I’m largely quiet in the weekdays and respect other people’s space and if I’m out in the weekend I’m not usually disruptive. I work from home 2-3 days a week, so ideally this would be for someone going into work during the week to fulfil their contact days in the office.

I am always open to socialise and chat, but on the whole I'm happy to keep to myself and allow you to do the same.

I have a lot of my own house stuff, so you are welcome to share all my plates and cutlery, read my books or watch my TV.

I would ideally like a cat-lover, who understands the weird and wonderful creatures they are and of course someone who isn’t allergic. He is mostly an inside cat, so understanding what to expect of this (closing external doors behind you etc, not leaving tasty food out for him to pinch etc) is important.

I’m currently using the second bedroom as storage, but you’re more than welcome to view the whole of the flat, which has been newly painted and is well presented.

I'm flexible on price and I am willing to negotiate per week or per day depending on your individual situation and how many days you would like to ideally stay here.
