We’re looking for a fab new housemate to join our house share in Lewisham. The room is available from 30th March.
Viewings: We would love to have viewings in person 11th, 12th and 14th March.

The house: 🏠
Three-storey semi-detached house in Lewisham, just off Lewisham Road SE13. It’s a 4-bed house, all double rooms with 2 shared bathrooms. The house has a cosy but bright lounge, separate dining room, kitchen, conservatory, and a very big garden (perfect for summer gatherings!).

The room: 🛏️
* Rent: £804
* Bills: approximately £130 (Council tax, gas and electric, internet, and water)

A bright double room on the first floor with large window overlooking the garden. Comes with a bed frame and mattress large built-in wardrobe. You'll share the bathroom on the second floor with one other person (female).

* Tenancy: We are on a joint rolling contract, but we'd love to find someone looking to move in for a good long while!
* Benefits/references: Landlord does not accept benefits, sorry. You’ll need to show you have enough “verifiable UK income, or can provide a UK guarantor”. All new tenants undergo background checks using Open Rent.
* Deposit: One month’s rent. We deal directly with the landlord, who is very responsive, and no property management fees, etc.)
* We are contractually a pet-free home, but will have a temporary, furry houseguest for a few months this summer (with permission of the landlord) 🐕 this is because Tanishtha’s family dog will live with us whilst her parents are relocating. She’s a super cute, friendly and laid back golden retriever called Amber. Outside of this exception, we’re not allowed pets unfortunately.

* Tanishtha – 30, Malaysian(she/her), works in social investment and WFH 3-4 days a week.
* Ayo – 29, British/Nigerian (he/him), NGO worker and aspiring author. WFH 3 days a week

We all met as housemates and have become genuine friends, and we’d love for a new housemate to join us! This is very much a home, not just a house share. Between us, we enjoy things like exploring new restaurants and bars, cinema trips, watching football, gardening, and going to events. While we spend time together socialising in and out of the house, we all have our own things going on: partners and friend groups, etc.

What we're looking for: 👀
A very clean, tidy, considerate, and social new housemate. We often like to catch up in the evenings after work, watch films together, and sometimes share meals. Looking for someone around similar ages (late 20s-30s).
Location: 📍We are a 7-minute walk from Elverson Road DLR, and a 12-minute walk from Lewisham Station. There is a big Tesco about a 7-minute walk away. Lewisham High Street is a 15-minute walk away and has everything you’ll need, including a fresh fruit and veg market. The house is also a 10-minute walk from Blackheath and a 12-minute walk to Greenwich Park.

Accessibility: To get to the house, there is a narrow walkway with one step, followed by another step to enter the house. The room is on the first floor and the bathroom you will share is on the second floor. The bathroom has a bathtub/shower combo. There is a step to go out into the garden and a further two steps to get onto the grassy bit. Also worth noting, the house is on a fairly steep hill.
