We will have a spare room in our lovely 3-bed terraced house in Leyton (very near Leyton tube station) from 7 April as our fab housemate has got himself a promotion in another part of the country and is moving out.
ABOUT THE ROOM
The spare room is a good sized double room on the first floor at the back of the house. It overlooks the garden, which gets a lot of sunlight in the mornings.
It is fully furnished and contains a double bed, and a desk (which can be removed if not wanted), a wardrobe with mirror and drawers. The room, like much of the rest of the house, was newly decorated and had new carpets fitted in October 2024.
There are grey blackout curtains to block out the sunlight.
It’s ideal for someone seeking a clean, serene and friendly living environment with all mod cons, a garden, and a great location to boot!
ABOUT THE HOUSE
This terraced property off Leyton Hight Road features:
- A fully-furnished kitchen with dining table and chairs, as well as new appliances (fridge freezer, washing machine, gas cooker and oven) and separate cupboard and drawer space for all the housemates
- A shared bathroom on the first floor with a bath with overhead gas-powered shower
- A shared living room with TV and basic SKY subscription

- Internet (Community Fibre - super fast!)
- Central heating in all rooms
- 3 bedrooms, all on the first floor.
We have a ‘shoes off’ policy indoors and housemates take it in turns to clean the communal areas.
THE LOCATION
The house’s location is superb, close to lots of shops, supermarkets and restaurants on the High Road, including Leyton Mills Retail Park, and the trendy Francis Road. We are also a 1 tube stop away from Westfield Stratford Shopping Centre.
The area is well served for public transport. It’s a 5 minute walk to Leyton tube station (Central line), plus lots of buses to destinations such as Leytonstone, Stratford (Central, Jubilee, DLR, Elizabeth Line, Overground and National Rail), Homerton, Hackney, Walthamstow, Woodford and Chingford literally on our doorstep. We are also close to the A12/Blackwall Tunnel, so great for access regardless of your choice of transport.
There is on-street parking. However, please note there’s a residents’ parking permit system operating on the road for most of the day from Monday to Saturday.
THE OTHER HOUSEMATES
I'm a live-in landlord but rarely there. My dad also sometimes uses my room when he's in the UK (1-2 times a year), so essentially this is a two person house share.
The other housemate is Ken, who is aged 39 and works in a hotel in central London. He has a bubbly personality, and is into travelling, fitness, movies, wellbeing and golf. He is generally a quiet housemate who keeps himself to himself.
Ken and I both like a clean environment and would like to find a housemate who is similarly clean, tidy and considerate.
