Friendly and relaxed housemate wanted. 8 mins walk to Leyton Midland, 15 mins walk to Leytonstone (Central) or Walthamstow Central (Victoria). I'm 44, I still live an active London lifestyle and Im not ready to be put out to pasture yet! I am a vegetarian, but previous housemates have been meat eater, veggie and vegans. All good. I have worked in HR for a while and love it. I help organise an arts festival (Burningnest. co. uk), work at Crisis At Christmas (Homeless Shelters) over the festival period and have lived in the area long enough to have a nice social network around here. I am now looking for a longterm (over 6 months) housemate for the large double room (pictured here with a fireplace - aesthetic only!). My previous flatmate moved so she could walk to work and avoid any public transport post pandemic. I'm a very chilled "landlady" (happy to provide references myself), I prefer the term housemate as it is both our homes. It is a comfy house I'm often told, I'm pretty chatty but I will respect it if you like to keep yourself to yourself too. I have one main bathroom (with lovely deep roll top bath and large separate shower) and separate small wc downstairs. Kitchen has an integrated washing machine, dishwasher and tall fridge freezer. I have a 60ft mature garden with nice furniture to relax outside in the evening. On a quiet residential tree lined street very close to the hub of the Bakers Arms on the Leyton / Walthamstow Border. Close to the Olympic site too. Bills are included, inc wifi. (but no council tax). and a weekly cleaner.

I have a greenhouse (with a few panes missing) which is currently acting as a shed, but would love a housemate into growing veg that I could reawaken my greenhouse with. I do love my garden and spend a lot of time out there in the summer. I'm allergic to cats, so please don't contact me if you have a cat to rehome too as I'm afraid I can't help.

I'm in the stages of applying to adopt a West Highland Terrier, so expect to have an adult dog in the house soon.

I'm currently contracting, but looking for perm work. I'm 100% homebased atm.

Area Description

If you are a healthy elfy, we have a large Better Swimming Pool/Leisure Centre and Gym a 2 minute walk. There are great transport routes; a short bus ride or 10-15 min walk to both Walthamstow Central (Victoria line) and Leytonstone (Central line) both are 24 hours at the weekend, along with overground routes into Liverpool Street and great bus routes towards Hackney, the City and Oxford Street (including night buses). We are also on the edge of Epping Forest for great cycles and walks. Waltham Forest has been developed as a Cycling Borough (Mini Holland Project). We have a lively and arty community with great food and drink venues, Walthamstow Village is short walk away. I love Waltham Forest, we have so much going on and we are the greenest borough north of the river.
