Shared living room

A bright, spacious en-suite room for one person will be available from 19 April, taking over the entire second floor of a large, well-kept shared house in E1. I’ve lived here for two years, and it’s genuinely been the best location I’ve had in London.

The room is fully furnished with a double bed, wardrobe, desk and plenty of storage, plus its own private bathroom with a shower. The windows face a quiet courtyard, so it feels peaceful and gets lovely natural light throughout the day. There’s also a huge extra storage area on the same floor — essentially, the whole level is yours.

The house is a gem: a massive open-plan living room and a wonderful big, fully equipped kitchen (oven, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine - everything you need). There’s loads of space to cook, work or relax. We also have a small outdoor patio perfect for summer barbecues or a quiet morning coffee.

You’ll be sharing with two friendly creative professionals (an artist and a videographer). The atmosphere at home is relaxed, warm and respectful of boundaries. Queer-friendly. Guests are absolutely fine. We keep shared areas clean and cosy, and hope to find someone who appreciates the same.

The location is perfect: 7–10 minutes’ walk to Bethnal Green, Stepney Green and Whitechapel stations, giving you the Elizabeth line, Central, District, Hammersmith & City and Overground within minutes. Sainsbury’s, Asda, Tesco and Whitechapel Market are all close by. Victoria Park, the canals, cafés and galleries - including the Whitechapel Gallery - are all within walking distance. Oxford Circus is around 25 minutes away. The area is safe, lively and incredibly convenient for anyone navigating London life.

Rent is £1380 per month + bills (around £150).
