THE HOUSE

The house has 1 shared bathroom, a living room and a large open plan kitchen with a dining area, driveway and a large garden. The available rooms both receive lots of bright natural light, and they are both furnished with a double bed, mattress, wardrobe and chest of drawers. The kitchen is equipped with microwave, toaster, dishwasher and more.

The house is located on a quiet residential street, and is an 8 minute walk from Maryland station (Elizabeth line) and about 20 minute walk to Stratford station or a 10 minute bus ride, and 15 minutes walk from Wanstead Park station. It’s also a short walk away from Olympic park which is just gorgeous to be around. Short tube ride to central London, around 30 mins to Tottenham Court Road.

Tesco, Sainsbury, Co-op, Morrisons and Iceland are all also a short walk away, as well as some independent shops and zero waste refill shops. We’re still newish to the area but have seen plenty of cafes, bars, pubs and restaurants to try, and of course, Westfield Stratford city is only around 20 minutes away, with multiple food courts and 4 floors of shopping and a Vue cinema. There’s also a Picturehouse cinema, the Theatre Royal Stratford East and few gyms within 10-15 minute walk away, so plenty to do in the nearby area.

ABOUT ME
I work in retail merchandising and WFH for part of the week and am occasionally away on short work trips from time to time. I’m fairly social - love a chat, going out/staying in for a few drinks and enjoy having a wholesome house dinners. I have a ginger cat called Mango, he loves cuddles but only once he trusts you.

My personal interests: art activities, museums, travelling, current affairs/social political topics and gin. This is not a party house, but keen to have people around for dinner/drinks and would love to throw the occasional house party especially in the summer.

ABOUT YOU

Looking for someone similar age (26-35), chill, tidy and social, and who also likes cats. Would love to have housemates that I can socialise with. I’m not keen on having rigid cleaning schedules, but having a clean and tidy home is also really important, open to getting a monthly cleaner if that keeps better for everyone’s schedules.

No couples, students or pets. (May consider cats but Mango has always been the king of his house so this may be unlikely)
