Double room in E2 - Hoxton

We have lots of space indoors and outside

We have one double room (with a double bed) for a single person, available in our four bedroom home with a garden, in east London from September 2023 to May 2024, which is 8 months only, although we can be flexible on exact dates.

We are very central in a nice area, and close to transport at Hackney Road with the 26/55 bus routes which are also night buses, and near Hoxton overground station. We are within easy walking/cycling distance of Liverpool St/Old St and have free overnight parking.

It's a comfortable, bright, fully furnished family home with a garden. We have a sitting room with tv, a kitchen/diner with everything in it you need including washing machine, dishwasher and other equipment collected over the years. You must be happy living with our things, and sharing a bathroom, but the room is your private space, and the rest of the house and garden is yours to enjoy too. You will sometimes have the house to yourself.

We are looking for someone who is friendly and sociable and who goes out to work or study. You will be sharing with a teacher who is out working long hours and we are not looking for anyone who works or studies from home.

It would suit someone looking for a room short term, maybe new to London or from overseas, or someone looking to meet others and then find a more permanent place in this area.

We are well-travelled, respectful and like cooking, cocktails, tv nights, growing things in our garden (but we are not able to accommodate pets) theatre, music especially reggae & soca, football and going to local community events.

The deposit will secure the room until you move in. We have no fees, no hidden extras or nasty long contracts and you will get your deposit back when you leave as long as you look after the house and our things. There are NO BILLS on top. We do all our own cleaning in the shared areas but no one goes in your private space, and in this house you get a lot of other space for your money.
