My flatmate is sadly moving to Japan at the end of our tenancy, and so I'm looking for a new flatmate to replace them in our absolutely gorgeous mezzanine flat.
The pics genuinely don't do justice just how nice this flat is! It's a top-floor flat with proper penthouse vibes in a lovely progressive area - inside there's an open plan living room/kitchen with an additional mezzanine sofa space upstairs, while outside we've got balconies facing east and west so you can catch the sun all day.
The available room is the large bedroom - it's split level, with a lower space containing lots of floorspace and a big wardrobe plus an east-facing window, while upstairs is a king-size bed with its own skylight. The flat's large downstairs bathroom acts as your private space, located just next to the room. We get plenty of light throughout the flat so it's *ideal* if you like houseplants like I do lol. There's a washing machine and dishwasher plus all the standard bits and bobs, and the flat comes furnished.
The space is proper lush for hosting people - small gatherings to occasional parties all work great plus we're so close to venues/transport that it's easy to head from pres to out out.
The neighbours are lovely, and next door have a pair of adorable cats that sometimes say hi. The flat is about 10 mins walk from Hackney Wick station and 20 mins walk from Stratford station so it's great whether you work from home or commute. It's also about 2 mins walk from both Victoria Park and the Olympic park, and 10 mins walk to the Aquatics Centre if you enjoy swimming. The flat has secure bicycle parking included, plus a 24-hour security team, and there's also a secure car park space available for an extra £50/month.
About me: I'm 27, working full time in marketing in the slightly niche world of violin dealing. I do a fair amount of music and play trumpet in a few bands ranging from funk and soul to occasional drum and bass - so if you like gigs I can defo get you on the guest list haha
I'm looking for an easy-going flatmate who's naturally reasonably tidy and is up for a laugh and an occasional pub quiz or movie night.
The landlords are really nice, they used to live next door but currently live abroad - their only requirement for their new tenant is someone who can easily clear the financial checks for rent etc. Beyond that it's all v easy.
