Dear roomseekers,

Our flatmate Mary has decided to flee the nest so the three of us are looking to fill her amazing penthouse room in our house in Homerton.

The room is a large, furnished double room on the top floor of our 3-storey home, it comes with its own en-suite and overlooks our recently groomed jardin and further out towards the Olympic Park.

We live on a quiet street in Homerton, an 8 minute walk away from the Overground and a 3-minute walk from the cuteness of Chatsworth Road.

The house has a living room, massive kitchen/dining room, a garden and 2 bathrooms & WC (in addition to the en-suite).

We also have the luxury of a guest room which can be used for friends and family staying, or as an office for those working from home.

We’ve lived here for three years now and have made it our home, so are looking for people that would fit in the family and would like to join us in domestic bliss.

Perks include the occasional projector movie night, a ridiculously well-stocked kitchen (including the lifeworks of Nigella Lawson), a barbecue and a disco light, and the odd cocktail night.

We are all full-time working professionals aged 25-28 and are all sociable and friendly. You will be sharing with two Scots and a Greek, so no Tories please. We are also an LGBT+ household, so potential flatmates must be fine with that!

The room costs £1,100 pcm including bills, which covers council tax, energy, water, internet and a fortnightly cleaner for all communal areas in the house. Move in date is the beginning of October.

Other Key Details:

Accessibility - the room is on the third floor of a three storey house, and there are 2 external steps into the house and 30 steps total up to the bedroom (and 4 steps down into the Kitchen area). The house uses a doorbell and there is no video/phone entry system.

Tenancy type - The house is a Private Let with our landlord, Chris. We three are current tenants on the contract and are looking to replace the exiting flatmate on the contract. The contract runs for a year with a two month notice you can serve if you wish to leave before that time.

Referencing and Benefits - There is a referencing process and flatmates must have an annual income of at least £25,000 or can provide a Guarantor with this income. These references are conducted individually and the three of us have already undertaken the process, and so the new flatmate on the contract must be able to pass the referencing process.
