Sydney Road is part of an environmental zone (it cannot be used as a short cut to bordering main roads): Quieter and Cleaner! 
It’s a 5 minute, quiet and pleasant walk to Muswell Hill golf course or Forest Walk / Hollickwood Park. Alexandra Palace or Coldfall woodland are equi-distant at 15 minute walk away. Kenwood and Hampstead Heath are a 10 minute drive.
