I am moving out on June 27th to live with my boyfriend when the contract ends. My current housemates are going to extend for another year so this room is for a full year contract (from 28th June onwards).
The full monthly cost including all bills is £776 so an absolute steal of a house of this size. The deposit required before moving in is £793 per person. There is also a £60 contract renewal fee (per tenant).
The room:
A double bed, chest of drawers, a mirror and have a built in cupboard. The room has a Yale lock on the door and two lovely windows for natural light and a nice breeze.
You also have a bathroom right next to the bedroom which is yours to share with one person. Bath and shower combo with over sink storage and lots of room for activities.
There are 2 other bathrooms in the house, one is ensuite plus a small down stairs loo.
If an ensuite room is more your cup of tea Matt is happy for you to take the ensuite room instead! The room is exactly the same size/shape but has lovely double doors that overlook the garden and a little ensuite shower/sink/loo :)
The house:
Huge 4 bed property.
Massive kitchen and dining area.
There are 2 fridge freezers and you will have 2 drawers in a fridge and 2 in the freezer. You'll also have 2 cupboards so plenty of storage for all your food needs.
The living room is very large and comfortable, two sofas and beanbag chair, shared TV and coffee table where a lot of evenings are spent watching TV or playing various board games. Two patio doors lead out into a large suntrap garden with two palm trees and a nice bit of lawn for sunbathing with lockable bike storage.
The housemates:
Matt - 22, connoisseur of terrible movies, tech and computer boffin, avid gym goer and game enthusiast, starting a degree in computer science so if you’re having any issues with tech I’m your man.
Ash - 30, real estate guru, bbq lover and king of American sports.
Anna - 28, trainee midwife, GOT fan, aspiring gardener and loves to cook.
The area:
Literally 2 minute walk to Burgess park which is great for the warmer months with a 5km running route, outdoor gyms and tennis courts.
Tesco express within a 5 minute walk with a huge superstore Tesco/Morrisons just a 20 minute walk across the park.
There are several bus stops within a 10 minute walk which can take you to Elephant & Castle for the northern and bakerloo lines, Euston (98/168), Shepherd's Bush and Westminster (148), Tottenham Court Road (171), Clapham, Dulwich, Stratford and more!
You also have Peckham Rye train station which is about a 20 minute walk away for trains and the overground and Kennington a 15 minute walk away for the northern line.
Following that, it's an easy walk into central Peckham for bars, foodie joints and Peckham Levels. There are some incredible brunch places in Peckham as well as possibly the best Bao buns in London which are well worth a visit.
The house is LGBT friendly too and non-smoking.
Any questions let me know by showing interest and I'll drop you a message! We'd love you to come and look this week or next!
