Easy commuting, comfortable room - Double

quiet garden and outlook

Hi there,
I have a comfortable double room to rent overlooking my garden. The room has just been refurbished and comes furnished with double bed (new mattress), bedside table and light, wardrobe with drawers, desk and seating. All common parts of the house are shared - kitchen, bathroom, sitting room, dining room, music room (baby grand) garden (incl. BBQ) etc.
I have a cat, so best if you're not allergic!
All bills and wifi, except telephone, are included in the rent. Rent adjustment for 7 days will be an increase of £150 pcm (ie £700).
The house is a nice 10 - 15 min walk from Norwood Junction/Thornton Heath stations, or a 5 minute bus ride, which have fast trains into London Bridge/Victoria and is also on the overground. A quick bus ride will also get you to Crystal Palace and the train links there. Alternatively a short journey into brixton gets you 10 mins away from Victoria on the tube. There is free street parking all around. The house is in a quiet residential cul de sac surrounded with parks and woodland. Crystal Palace has loads of bars and restaurants as well as independent traders and a Sainsbury - a couple of minutes away are convenience stores , a pharmacy and some cafes. Sports available at the National Sports Centre in Crystal Palace and a Leisure Centre in Thornton Heath (10 mins walk).
I am a music therapist and musician and the other lodger is here part time and works as a gas and heating engineer. I work from home around three days a week. I am sociable and happy to share a glass of wine of mug of tea.
Hopefully you will be a friendly, reasonably laid-back person looking for a home rather than a 'show home', who is happy to share the occasional meal but also to respect personal spaces, perhaps share some of the same interests as me (generally creative/visual/performing arts), not mind that there's not much sport on the telly, and be responsible in terms of finances and cleanliness.
