I usually travel quite a bit. I am more than happy for a lodger to be part time e. g. one/two weeks a month or only during the week and travels home at weekends, the price can be negotiated accordingly.
In the house there is a relaxed atmosphere plenty of opportunity to have a glass of wine or to get away to another part of the house (plenty of space). In the Summer outside courtyard area is used for BBQ and relaxing (sun loungers). There is no smoking in the house but patio area is a nice space to enjoy a cigarette if the need arises (with comfortable garden furniture).
Charlton is a great location for transport and commute including driving into/out of London/Canary Wharf. It also has great parks, secret cafés and a community feel. The property is close to mainline Charlton station (3 minutes walk), with trains into London via 2 lines Greenwich/Blackheath (on average a train every 7/10 minutes at least), journey time 17 minutes into central London. It is a comfortable stroll into either of the neighboring villages.
DLR a couple of stops away (connects from Woolwich, Greenwich or Lewisham). There are plenty of bus routes on your doorstep into town with nearest bus stop 1 minute away (2 night buses from west end). Clipper River service from O2 or Greenwich nearby.
