We are looking for a working professional to fill a room in this brilliant, chilled out flat (with 2 great outside spaces) in Streatham.

We are very low key and it's a quiet atmosphere on the whole, especially during the week. Mark and I both like our own space and so tend to do our own thing a lot of the time, so you'd need to be onboard with that most days/nights, but we do get along well. Occasionally we do go to the pub together or have a barbecue on our rooftop. Georgia can also sometimes be found making cocktails from the home bar or preparing a flat roast on the odd Sunday! The flat would best suit another very chilled, calm, independent individual with a busy lifestyle of their own. Someone with a good sense of humour, who is respectful of others, and who pays their share of the bills on time would also be great.

We have a fantastic landlord and great communal areas (both indoor and outdoor). The main living area in particular has been recently redecorated and we’re adding new bits all the time. Ample room to work from home.

Easy links into Brixton, Balham, Clapham Junction, central London and beyond (we're 6 mins walk from Streatham Common station). So near all the popular places south of the river but without the premium prices!

All in all, it’s a gem of a flat. I was originally only looking for somewhere for a year when I moved in, but decided to stay put permanently as it feels like home and has been so stress-free. Streatham Common is lovely and it’s so easy to get to Balham etc. The Railway pub down the road is ace and you can pick up a great flat white from Estate Office coffee :)

There's some more detailed info below. If you're interested, please drop me (Georgia) a message to introduce yourself, and if it sounds a good match, we can arrange a viewing. Look forward to hearing from you!

Shops:
Tesco Extra, Sainsbury’s, Aldi & M&S 15-20 min walk or 10 min on the bus. Co Op situated underneath the flat (very handy!)
There’s also a good off license, various corner shops and speciality food shops on the same road, plus an amazing pizzeria (Signor Ciccio) three minutes walk away. All the usual suspects available on Deliveroo.

Access:
118 and 60 bus stop right outside. 25 mins to Brixton.
5 - 6 minute walk to Streatham Common Station.
20 mins national rail service to London Victoria. 25 minutes to London Bridge. 5 minutes on the train to Balham (Northern line).
Lots of great pubs and various amenities within walking distance.

The bedroom:
Recently redecorated in neutral colours (you can repaint if not to your taste). Fine if you want to hang pictures on the wall etc. Comes with a double bed, chest of drawers, wardrobe, Emma mattress, mirror, desk and chair. Plenty of separate storage space in our loft area too, so note that you can easily keep a lot of stuff you don’t use every day up there. There’s also a separate cupboard in our landing with a clothes rail so you can keep some coats and some other bits in there.

Flatmates:
Mark, 33 - works as a film producer, so is sometimes out working on shoots and sometimes working from home. He has his own floor and ensuite upstairs.

Georgia, 30 - account manager working in central London. Is out working most weekdays and out and about a lot in the evenings as well.

The Flat:
Separate kitchen and living room, both have dining areas (not pictured) so can eat in either space. Huge landing. Wooden floors throughout. Modern bathroom with great bath and shower (nice and hot if you want that and good water pressure!), shared with Georgia only as Mark has an en-suite. 2 good sized outdoor spaces, one being a roof terrace with astroturf. This space is great for summer, a bit of a sun trap and nice spot for a barbecue. The kitchen also has a patio area which gets the sun in the morning, so a lovely breakfast spot.

Landlord:
We have a private landlord. Trevor is excellent and so friendly. He responds and takes care of any issues on the same day and replaces anything that is broken quickly.

Approx monthly bills total (to be divided between the 3 of us):
EDF £85 per month
Council tax £120 - £140 ish (paid for 10 months of the year)
Wifi £35
Water approx £45 (not on meter)
TV license £157.50 per year
Contents insurance £30 a month
= Roughly £100-£110 each per month.
