Lovely large double en suite bedroom and own front room in a beautiful home in Furzedown next to Tooting commons. Gorgeous wooden/marble floors, high ceilings and lots of original Victorian features with plantation shutters throughout. The house has a very quiet and private feel. The bedroom can be furnished or unfurnished, all depending on whether you have your own bed and furniture etc (you might like/need to have your own things with you). All bills are included in the price; wifi, council tax, water, gas and electric, TV. (Everything except possibly phone calls made from the landline).
I take care of my home and am very clean and tidy so I'm also looking for someone who is similar. The bedroom has a modern beautifully appointed en-suite shower. The front room is big and has a large comfy sofa, rug, book shelves and TV etc, but again you can bring your own things.
There is a lovely modern kitchen and dining room area; the kitchen has a dishwasher, washer/dryer, new double electric oven, large American style fridge. All the worktops are a lovely black galaxy granite. There is a private back garden with a damson tree, patio and a small pond. Everything feels very spacious with wooden and marble floors.
The neighbours are all very friendly and it is a family orientated area, with lots of young professionals. It's very quiet and peaceful and a lovely green location, with Tooting commons only a five minute walk away. At the top of the road, literally 1 minute walk, there are some great deli/cafe's, a dry cleaners, a new restaurant, chemist and post office. As well as a new large Budgens, there is a Sainsbury's local five minutes walk away and a post office too. There is also the local art gallery, a flower shop and a bakery that sells lovely fresh bread and does great breakfasts and coffee. About a 5 minute walk away there is the Lido, tennis courts running track and gym. Balham is just across the common where there are countless bars and fantastic restaurants.
Transport is great with Tooting Bec tube station a 10-15 minute walk away. Regular buses are only a few minutes away by the common, which get you to the tube in 5 minutes. Streatham Common train station is a 15 minute walk away. There is plenty of on-street parking with no parking restrictions in the area.
It's a large house so the chances are you will have a lot of space to yourself as we will only really share the kitchen, I'm away quite often so you will have the place to yourself a lot. I'm used to having someone around/living with someone but generally for the most part keep myself to myself although I am sociable too! :-)
