Single room in lovely Pimlico flat, Zone 1

I am currently looking for a new flatmate with whom to share a lovely flat in Pimlico. The flat is located in an historical Georgian stucco building in an excellent location in Zone 1. It offers lots of daylight and is bright throughout.

The available room is a single room that has been arranged to maximise space. It has a mini double-bed which is more spacious than a standard single bed. It has a large single wardrobe, and a storage cupboard above it that reaches up to the ceiling. The room also comes with a large chest of drawers, as well as a bedside drawer and chair. The window is double glazed and insulates the room very well from any street noise. There is also a blackout blind, and a window box for flowers.

Transport connections are great. The flat is located only 5-mins walk from Pimlico tube station (Victoria line), offering fast connections across London as well as night tube. High frequency bus routes such as lines 24 and 360 stop about 1-min walk away. It is also very easy to get onto buses at Victoria station (10-mins walk away) or Vauxhall Bridge Road. You could even walk to Vauxhall across the bridge. Victoria Coach station is just up the road (approx. 10-mins walking time, offering bus connections to major airports and UK cities.

There are a variety of local shops located on Lupus Street, such as a Tesco Express, only 3-mins walk away. There are lots more shops, bars and restaurants close to Wilton Road approx. 8-mins walk away.

I have lived in the property and been renting it privately for over 10 years. I really enjoy living there. My outgoing flatmate and I shared the space for many years, and it worked out great. He is only moving out due to a job change. You would have use all of the flat’s communal areas such as kitchen, bathroom, and sitting room. The flat has a new washing machine and dishwasher, and is overall in good condition. It is not a “dump”.

Talking about bills:
We would both share responsibility to keep the place clean and tidy. In addition to the rent, monthly bills would be split 50:50, amounting to approx. £130 per person (Obviously in addition to the advertised rent per month), but this could be less dependent on energy usage. This would include gas, electricity, water, council tax, TV licence and super-fast broadband.

I am looking for a flatmate who is friendly, mutually considerate, and trustworthy. I am sociable but not a party animal. I enjoy nights out with friends but would not party in the flat until late.

You should be in good employment, because you’ll have to pay your way reliably. I’m a 41-old gay male in good employment, based in London and sometimes travelling for work. I am interested in current affairs and enjoy good conversations.
