A friendly older lady with a little memory loss is seeking a Sharer for her home to offer a little practical help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

She would value the friendly reassurance of having someone around her home in the evenings and overnight, and some of the friendly companionship that would come out of that, such as sharing a few meals, watching some TV programmes (eg documentaries or dramas), playing a game of Scrabble. Currently she is quite independent, but would also like some general practical help around the home which might be picking up shoping from time-to-time, cooking an occasional meal, help with IT/simple tech, a little help in the garden (eg weeding/sweeping/watering), and ad hoc practical help and errands as may be needed.

The accommodation on offer is a beautifully presented lower ground floor bedroom with ensuite bathroom and its own fridge and microwave. There is ample cupboard space. The bed is a sofa bed, but the lady is open to buying a proper bed mattress for it to turn it into a more permanent bed if that is preferred. The Sharer can also respectfully use the upstairs kitchen, living space and garden.

The property is in an excellent location just off Chiswick High Road which has many bus routes, and just 5 minutes’ walk from Turnham Green Underground Station (District Line).

The lady is a member of the Labour party and would like to Share with someone with similar views. She enjoys a game of Scrabble, and enjoys going to the theatre locally (if the Sharer wanted to buy a ticket and join her to see occasional performances she would like that). She also enjoys walking, swimming, watching dramas and documentaries on TV (help finding new things to watch would be appreciated) and recently joined a drama group for older people.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time (up to 15 hours per week in a mix of up to 10 hours of practical help plus a little company) to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the lady’s interests.
